This switch box does not lose resolution [Posted on 2007-09-03]
This switch box does not lose resolution. I am currently using an Infocus model X3 projector M1 cable to the HDMI switchbox. I have the DirecTv HDMI side connected to this box along with the Playstation3. I am using the Infocus X3 for my HDMI viewing, as my current TV is an Hitachi 42 inch projector TV (Year 2000 model-Bought from Sears; with warranty-worth it) with the component (Red/Blue/Green) connected to the DirecTV component side (This tv has no DVI or HDMI). Resolution via the HDMI box is excellent as it reflects a better signal on the HDMI side, not noticeable if you are not viewing the component side at the same time (on the TV).
I used another HDMI box for the X3, it would not work as it requires a XGA resolution of 1600, this box provides.
