Samsung Will Honor Your Samsung Warranty bought throughAmazon Warranty [Posted on 2008-07-22]
I was concerned about whether or not Samsung would honor the extended service plan after reading the reviews for both the 3 year plan as well as the 5 year plan. I called Samsung's support line and asked about whether or not they would honor the warranty bought from Amazon. He told me that as long as it was a Samsung warranty they would definitely honor it despite it being purchased through Amazon. He then gave me the number for their warranty support line as well. I called them just to make sure and a Samsung representative reassured me that Samsung would honor the service plan bought through Amazon.
Please disregard my vote as I have not purchased the warranty yet. And I have not made use of its service.

We absolutely love this television, it has passed all of our expectations. My husband loves watching football in High Definiton and the picture quality is unbelievable. It is as if you can reach out and just touch the person on the screen, we definetely are pleased with our purchase. I recommend buying from Amazon as well, we have had excellent service with fast shipping.

Great value for the dollar, outstanding picture clarity and quality, sound is surprisingly pleasant as well but .... broke down just after a month ... I'd like to beleive I got the dud and try not to knock Samsung's quality, but its hard when you drop a thousand bucks. There is only a 30 day return policy, so outside of that they will send a local certified repair tech. According to the tech. I had a bad video processor ... screen went blank and red power light was blinking ... Didn't do much research so it may be a common problem I wasn't aware of. I immediately purchased the 3yr extended warranty, which I believe you have 60 days to complete after the date of your purchase. I was thankful to still be inside of that window.

What else is there to say. The White Glove delivery service was excellent and prompt and the TV has a great picture and was easy to set up.

The TV works great, getting verification of the warranty plan from Samsung was a nightmare. Amazon tells you to contact Samsung, Samsung tells you to contact Amazon cause they have nothing on file. You waste over an hour of your life and nothing happens. Enjoy
