According to Amazon.com, don't try to buy this plan [Posted on 2004-12-15] Here is what they say:
Thanks for writing in to Amazon.com.
I am sorry but we do not currently sell the plan "Three-Year Replacement Plan for Electronics Products Priced Between $100 and $199.99" you're asking about.
We do expand our selection frequently, so you may want to check back from time to time to see if we have added this item to our web site.
Please note that while Amazon.com currently does not offer extended warranties for electronic products, you can purchase extended service plans on our site through one of our merchants, N.E.W. Customer Service Companies, Inc. Simply search for "Service Plan" and select the plan that fits the item you're purchasing.
In addition, a number of manufacturers do offer their own extended warranties. Each manufacturer handles these warranties differently.
I wouldn't expect this from Taget! [Posted on 2006-07-08] I purchased this for my daughters Ipod. When it died 9 months later I thought great, this will make it a hassle free experience! After all, the warranty features on the Target site said I was buying convenience and peace of mind. What I got was a useless warranty and a lot of grief! Despite the claim that it protects your product for 3 years from the date of purchase, you're actually on your own while the original manufacturer's warranty is in place. It's almost impossible to get through to someone at the phone # they give unless you wait close to an hour on hold. I did get it fixed through apple for $39, not what I was expecting with this peace of mind warranty. I've already given Target a peace of my mind on this fine warranty as well, so that part was sort of true.
So to my fellow on-line shoppers, let me be frank, run the He## away from this warranty, it's not worth the paper it's printed on and SHAME on Target for offering it.
