Works great, I put 57 HOURS of my favotite music from windows media player 10 on it & listen to my music on the company's comuters at work. Formats & re-loads easily. I'm having a good time with it.

Oh you can go wrong buying from Memorex and there is a surprise!
I just bought the 4 Gig GEN2 adn my last Memorex anything.

You can see the warranty states replace! I just called them as the 4-gig drive I just bought is dead. I plugged it into the computer, transferred one small file to it and went to transfer the second and the drive was "write protected". There is no fix and I cannot remove my data from it. I found allot of people on the web that have the same problem. Nobody can fix it. Even Memorex states it cannot be fixed.
It was plugged in for 2 minutes. Memorex tells me I can ship it to them and they will send me a "reconditioned" unit. OR, I can contact the online company I bought it from and have them replace it. So, I paid $60.00 for new and got 2 min of use and they want to send me a reconditioned unit that if it happens again, they will claim there is no warranty for reconditioned product. They will not send a new one and THEY WANT ME TO SEND MY DATA TO SOMEONE ELSE.
You will also note the warranty on the web is 1 year. The warranty with the drive is 2 years. Well 2 years or 2 min. which ever comes first. I'm done. I won't do business with a multi-million dollar company that FAILS to disclose they replace product with refurbished item and makes there money by ripping off the little guy or the people who sell there product.

Well I'm with the others on here that had this drive commit suicide. And like them, memorex is not willing to 100% stand by thier warranty. I'm furious. I'll be staying far away from memorex.

Memorex flash drives are durable? You can say that again. I was unloading the wash a few days ago, only to find my little flash drive pressed in between my shorts and a shirt. Doubtful that any device could survive an hour of detergent and water, I plugged it into the computer--only to find all of my files safe, sound and accessible.
I'll have to give it a spin in the dryer next. ;-)
