How do you spell BRITTLE? [Posted on 2007-12-20] While keeping six discs in the space it took to store one was my original intent. It was not my intention to buy something that shatters to small pieces at the slightest impact. Slight impact will break the disc holding clips as well as the center page mounting system. I've also had quite a few break when simply trying to open the cases. Use of a more resilient plastic would make these cases perfect but as they are, they pose a potential hazard to your discs.
Bad Materials, Great Idea [Posted on 2008-01-27] I have purchased 50 of these cases, but I was disappointed to discover that they are made of very bad plastic. Most of the inside flaps were broken and dirty. The notion of this product is great but the material is terrible. I wish they will reconsider manufacturing them with better plastic and not to worry about the cost because people will pay more for the good stuff.
Good Stuff! [Posted on 2008-05-06] These things are great for the price.
Made in China....and made cheaply but they work well enough to serve their purpose.
not quite the same quality as retail packaging but for a heavy downloader these things are perfect for keeping season series discs together.
Atrocious Quality - Buy at your Own Risk [Posted on 2008-05-10] I saw these in Europe retailing for $5 apiece, and thought, "Nice but way too pricy". Then I saw these, what looked to be the same, for considerably less; now I know why.
These are obviously third rate knockoffs of the originals, and the quality is simply atrocious. The spine on 3 of the 5 pack arrived so severely shattered and cracked that they went straight to the trash (Chasing a $5 refund is waste of time, energy, and more money in my opinion). Additionally, all of the middle twin retainer posts inside each spine were also broken on every single one, thus rendering the middle partition unusable (nothing for it to hold on to). Luckily I was able to cannibalize the middle divider for use with other older cases that had similar retainer posts.
The design idea is a sound one, and again I have seen these manufactured correctly. However, like all "knock Offs" these are a poor, poor substitute for the genuine article. Buy at your own risk.
They do the job they were made for.... [Posted on 2008-06-17] When I recieved this item a few of the cases had some small plastic parts on them broken.....I did not send any of them back as they were so inexpensive it was hardly worth it and they still worked so I just left it. I do not however like the way the disk overlap in the case, if I had it to do over again I would go with a different style case so the disk don't rub against each other when inserted.
