When I finally bought myself the new black iPod Video, I immediately realized that it would get very scratched up. I had been looking at the covers other people use for their iPods but didn't really like any of them. I wanted something that would protect the iPod as well as keep it from scratching without looking like a piece of rubber. This product does it all. It is clear, so you still feel like you are looking at just the iPod. It does not make the iPod Video much thicker. You can plug in the earphones, turn the lock switch of or on and plug USB port cord or microphone in with the cover on. You do have to remove the cover to place it on speakers but this is not a big deal to me. I love this cover!

I purchased this case for my 30GB Video Ipod a year and half ago when the video ipod was brand new and the case selection was very limited.
I am not a particularly clumsy or careless person, but I have still dropped it many many many times, and my ipod remains in pristine condition, even if the case is a little scratched. Obviously, every day wear and tear will take its toll. No, the case is not scratch proof. But its not like it scratches at every little touch either. It is sturdy, dependable, and great protection. The scratches that have happened to the casedo not prevent me from enjoying the screen. Videos are still clear and easy to watch. True, after a while particles from your pockets collect around the gaps in the case, but they are easily cleaned with a quick wipe or a pressurized can of air. I have never owned another case, so I have nothing to compare to, but then again I have never needed to buy another case, which for a year and half, thats something.
Overall, I consider this case money VERY well spent. It has saved my ipod from a lot of damage, and it takes damage pretty well itself. I have never had my case pop off when dropped, and the case still remains easy to remove. I clean off my ipod every few months or so. And it still looks brand new. Eventually I may need to get a new case if my case continues to accumulate scratches, but I don't see that day coming any time soon. What more can I say?

The plastic around the clips which hold the ipod is breaking and will eventually break to the point where it won't work anymore. I also wish it would fit in the charger without removing the case. It does fit the ipod well and stays pretty secure in the belt clip holder. To date, I can't find the contact info for the company to get the holder replaced under warranty.

My kids love this product. Don't worry about dropping your ipod...it's protected and safe. I recommend this case for anyone wanting a thick case for protection. We have been using the same case for three years and never even chipped it, although it does have some scatches.
