I like to jog around my neighborhood and like everyone else, enjoy listening to headphones. A few months ago I was jogging accross an intersection where all the cars were stopped. I could see the cross signal and just kept going. A police car went flying through the stop light and I could not hear it until I was about a foot away. I could have been killed!!
After that I jogged with the volume low but that didnt help me hear any better. I heard about these airdrives from some buddies in my yahoo group who like to jog as well. I got me a pair for $99.00. I thought it was kind of high but it's better than getting killed.
I am very pleased. The sound quality is top notch, they sound better than my ear buds I paid $200 for. I can crank up my tunes and still hear everything.
Overall, a fantastic product! well worth the price!

Decided to purchase a pair for bike riding . Was listening to them on the day they arrived in the car . My daughter was sitting next to me in the passenger seat , as we came around a corner their was a person walking on the side of the road blending in with the fall colors , I did not see him . My daughter warned me about him in a normal voice and i heard her clearly causing me to swerve at the last second and i avioded from possibly hitting him . I could not believe my luck . Had i had earbuds in i doubt i would have heard her warning . I am sold . Thank you Airdrives , and that lucky person walking on the road thanks you .

Do not wear colors that blend into the enviroment unless your on point in Iraq . And by the way the sound quality and comfort is excellent .

There are a lot of other wonderful headphones that are less then the Airdrives. The idea of having great sound all the while being able to hear your surroundings is great but the Airdrives do not pull this off too well.
I've tried this headphones on both my laptop and iPod and with both items I had to pretty much crank up the volume almost all the way on both the headphones and the items. Where as with my Shure earbuds I only needed to have my laptop volume at about 10% and my iPod about 25% volume.
Sound: 5/10
The sound is decent for earbuds that do not cover up your earcanals. However it lacks both bass and just volume. Without that bass, things just sound flat, almost kind of like the sound you would get from a radio from the 80's. I also want to point back to what I mentioned earlier that you had to crank up the volume on whatever you had the Airdrives plugged into. Also on that note, if you are a person who hates to hear what the person sitting next to you is listening to then you are not going to like these earbuds. When you turn up the volume loud enough to get a good enough sound, the earbuds leak sound like crazy since these babies are designed for by the earcanal.
Comfort: 8/10
These earbuds are very comfortable because they are just resting on your eyes as opposed to the earbuds that go into your earcanal. The reason why I took points off is the fact that the headphones don't stay on very well. My left ear fits good but my right earbud wiggles around.
Durability: 9/10
The headphones look and feel pretty sturdy. The only thing I took a point off for was the case. It came with a little pouch that you are supposed to coil your headphones into.
Overall, I don't recommend these earbuds at the current price. Maybe if it was half the price then it would be worth it.

This is an exciting product from Mad Catz. It is so nice to be able to enjoy music/sound without uncomfortable tight ear plug type devices. Great to protect hearing while providing ambient awareness. This will be a hot seller. Well worth the money.
