Customer Reviews:

Awful [Posted on 2008-08-18]
What a piece of junk. It's true I can hear well through it and that others say they can hear me well through it, but where it absolutely fails is in voice recognition with my Motorola Razr. I press the button and say, for instance, "Call Pat Moore" and it comes back with "Did you say, 'Call Yee Dental Center'?" (and then two other choices, none of which sound ANYTHING like Pat Moore). It's absolutely useless as a hands-free dial device in the car (required by law now in California). I hate it. I've tried it for a month and I'm throwing it away it's so bad. Don't waste your hard-earned money on this. (It also looks like cheap plastic in person, not like it looks in online pictures, and worse still, it seems really flimsy. Worst of all, there's no cigarette lighter charger for the car, which is the only place I use this, so I have to bring it in and charge it. That's just plain stupid.)

Terrible false advertising [Posted on 2008-08-21]
I had seen the ads for the Jawbone in Sky Mall magazine. (A magazine I used to trust) I bought it 32 days ago and after the first 3 weeks rarely even bothered to take it out of my briefcase. It was painful to wear and no matter how I attempted to adjust it it flopped around and I couldn't possible keep the earpiece against my cheek, like you are supposed to. When I placed any call I quickly found out that I couldn't be heard over the slightest breeze or even the air conditioner in my car! The buttons are extremely hard to use. Three or four times I received calls and when I pressed the button I got an ear full of nothing but loud static, and when I tried to turn off the unit so I could return the missed call the unit wouldn't shut off! I had to wait 2 or three minutes before I could even return the missed call! You can't get your money back, they will only replace it with another shoddy product. So go with the Plantronics. It's the one that I accidently broke, and I really liked it. Final advice DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT!

iPhone 3G disappointment [Posted on 2008-08-29]
Bought this for my new iPhone 3G, only to find not compatible. (despite product lit)

Works great But. . .Needs smaller ear hook [Posted on 2008-09-02]
It works great but it need a smaller ear hook for smaller people. I had to ben the one that came with it for my daughter.

Skip This Highly Marketed Mess! [Posted on 2008-10-12]
DON'T FALL FOR THIS POORLY MADE GIMMICK by ALIPH, WITH ITS UNCONCERNED CUSTOMER SERVICE. The Jawbone is, by far, the worst headset I have ever come across! Aliph seems more about marketing than substance. I wish I could reassign the rating and give one-eighth star. This company is bad news!

I barely got to use the Jawbone three times before the earplug into which the earhook slides came loose, exposing the wires. I have cases for all my headsets to protect them and gingerly care for them.

The Jawbone came apart just before the warranty ran out, therefore my letter reached Aliph after the warranty expiration date so Aliph has refused to replace the headset - THAT WAS USED NO MORE THAN 3 TIMES BEFORE COMING APART!

Although the Jawbones are highly marketed, there are innumerable customer complaints over the Internet about how poorly built these headsets are. Aliph seems to turn a deaf ear and seems to feel it is their due to gimmick poorly designed, ill-built, over-priced dross.

The way Aliph markets the Jawbone and at the price, no one should have to tweak one thing to make the headset work or fit.

I wish I had known the Jawbone was all utter hype before getting fleeced by Aliph for $149.50! This earplug is extremely difficult to get on the ear. I had to fight with my Verizon UT6700 to get it working and most of all the sound was little better than the UT6700, which is disastrous!

I have the Plantronics Voyager, as well as several other headsets by BlueAnt, Jabra, and Motorola. I bought the Plantronics 925 and received a BlueAnt V1 after the Jawbone dispatched itself. The Plantronics Voyager 510 Bluetooth Headset with Multipoint Technology, Plantronics Discovery 925 Bluetooth Headset (Black), the Jabra are much better quality head sets and work distinctly better. I haven't tried the BlueAnt V1 Voice-Controlled Bluetooth Headset (Silver) yet. None of the headsets are any where near the "SHABBY JAWBONE" Category! Aliph owns that one!

Don't fall for the name and shiny back and don't get RIPPED OFF!
