Allsop Black Faux-Leather 40-CD/DVD Album | List Price: $24.99 Discount Price: $14.75

| Brand: Allsop Binding: Kitchen
Features: - These disc albums have what's known as style. You might even say they're ?fashion friendly.? No. you know what? It goes further than that - these disc albums have character.
- Designing something that you'll want to put into your home is a gamble. The standards and styles change. So Allsop made some sure bets, like using soft, flexible disc storage pages and a rich, leather-like covering. To get your attention, they added contrasting stitching to highlight curves, corners and angles. There's a sturdy wood frame and lip that looks great, but also allows the album to close completely around your discs to protect them from dust and damage.
- This'll work great up on a bookshelf, but it looks so good, why not leave it out on an end table or display it on the mantle. And even though it's constructed to look good in your home or office, it's tough enough for a ride in the car.
For storage with movie booklet only! [Posted on 2007-03-18] Very impressed with the quality of this item. Has three heavy wood sides so you know your DVDs won't get crushed if you stack these albums on their side. Dimensions are approximately 7 /12 x 9 1/4 x 4 inches. The catch is magnetic and we have had no problems with it popping open even storing ours with the binder/label up in a drawer. Note that you cannot add pages to this album. Each page consists of one side with a big clear plastic pocket for the movie booklet on one side and two black pockets on the back side. Not as useful if you don't have double DVD movies. Note that you cannot see the DVDs in the pockets so you cannot tell what movie it is without pulling the DVD out. We would not recommend this one for anyone who trades/swaps movies and does not have the movie booklet since it is difficult to tell what the movies are at a glance - you will need to come up with some other way of labeling them. 4 stars for quality of the product, 2 stars for ease of use.
Great but... [Posted on 2007-05-12] Works very well as a way to condense DVD storage. Sturdy, aesthetically pleasing - not plastic-y at all. There are 21 pages with 2 DVD pockets and 1 cover pocket per page - so effectively you get 21 per unit unless you double up the covers too (I doubled up on series like the XMen trilogy, etc.) The downside is that the pages are not removable, thus if you like to keep things alphabetized, you will spend time moving covers and DVDs.
Boo on Allsop [Posted on 2007-07-29] I purchased quite of few of these albums in the brown. However, now Allsop has decided to change the color and apparently.the brown is no longer available. So now I cannot match my previously purchased items.
Perfect DVD Storage System [Posted on 2007-11-03] I bought the DVD storage and the smaller CD version to house my collection that was quickly growing out of control. I've researched many styles of media storage systems, and this best fit my needs; it has space to house the DVD covers as well as two discs in each page, and the wood cover "pages" around the top, back, and base keep the dust away from my DVDs, and the magnetic closure keeps the album closed. I printed labels to insert into the spine, and my problem is solved! I also made sure to order several extra to accommodate future additions to my collection. I also love that they look like books, and fit inconspicuously into my bookcase. Note that each page holds a cover and two discs, so plan on storing 20 movies per album if you want to keep the covers with the discs. Also, the black and tan faux-leather cover is classic and won't go out of style anytime soon.
Great Organizer and Space Saver [Posted on 2008-12-22] The CD/DVD Albums are great for organizing, only take up a fraction of the space and look great on the shelves.
