Great Value! [Posted on 2008-07-30] This little speaker sounds much bigger than it is. The only thing missing is a remote, but it's a minor gripe. Overall, a great value.
Good sound, good price [Posted on 2008-10-02] This is a nice little system with a good solid sound. It does get a little boomy if you max out the volume, but if you are listening around 3/4 volume, it is a very clear sound. Just what you would expect from Altec Lansing. I strongly suggest going to a store and listening before buying to make sure you choose the right system for your intended use.
Amazing sound for the price [Posted on 2008-10-02] Amazingly clear room-filling sound with surprisingly strong bass for a fairly small and lightweight unit which runs on only 3 AA batteries for up to 48 hours (an AC adaptor is also included). Yeah, I know it lacks a remote plus other fancy features - all it has are an on/off button and a volume slide - but, on balance, the quality of the sound and the low price more than make up for the lack of any fancy features. Well worth a look for the budget conscious iPod owner looking for an inexpensive but great sounding set of portable speakers that can also be used as a dock to charge the iPod. Just don't expect any bells and whistles.
Nice Portable Speaker [Posted on 2008-10-04] I got this speaker because I was looking for a loud, portable unit that did not use a lot of batteries, Well This fits the bill, It is loud, decent sound quality, (it has some of the biggest drivers for a portable dock, so I thought the bass response would be deeper, no so..But sufficent for portable use, I takes only 3 aa batteries!.. and plays for long time, and you can get it for a good price online..also to get the best volume, turn off the sound limiter on your ipod..can play loud enough with limited distortion, but not all the way up...oh, 1 more thing, it will charge your 2nd generation ipod touch (alot of older docks will not)
Leasure listening [Posted on 2008-10-09] This is a great IPOD speaker system for the kitchen. It sounds great and it is not big and bulky. I'm not saying it is a BOSE system but for the money it's good. I would recomend the one with the radio though if you don't have a home stereo system though.
