Tight Harness for Altec Lansing IM7 Speaker System [Posted on 2008-01-11]
Installation of this harness on the new Altec Lansing Altec Lansing IM7 Speaker Shoulder HarnessIM7 speaker system was quite difficult. It fits VERY tightly and the snaps can barely be snapped shut. Hopefully it is secure and won't pop open and allow the IM7 to drop out. We'll have to give it the test of time.

Like it a lot! [Posted on 2008-01-14]
I'm a music/movement teacher and needed something to help me lug my Altec IM7 back and forth with that would be convenient.

After reading reviews from others online I decided this harness seemed like a good bet, and I was right.

It holds my IM7 snugly and makes it easy for me to carry it around without my needing to take it in and out of a bag in order to use it.

Strap feels just fine, quality seems great, and I'm very happy with it overall.

Brilliant design [Posted on 2008-02-02]
I purchased the IM7 harness and absolutely love it. It is solid and unobstructive for controls and speakers. For fun I even swung the unit, with IM7 in place, around in circles about 8 times at high speed to test its ability to stay secure.... NO PROBLEM!!! Hope you all enjoy yours too. Tight fit, does what it is supposed to do... [Posted on 2008-04-21]
Yes, the harness does fit very tightly and is difficult to install the first time or two.

The fact that it fits tightly ensures that the harness does what it was intended to do: provide the ability to carry the rather heavy iM7 over your shoulder and keep the cylindrical shaped music player from rolling around (only when you lash it to something with the shoulder strap). And THAT it does very well.

None of the incredible sound from the iM7 is blocked by the harness.

I would prefer that you could access the battery compartments with the harness in place, but due to the 10+ hours of battery life, you will not be swapping out your batteries all that frequently.

I removed one star because of the "difficult to install" issue, there is no additional anti-roll stability provided by the harness, and with harness installed there is no access to the battery compartments.

I still highly recommend the harness. Portability is one of the main features of the iM7 and this harness makes lugging the massive iM7 around much easier than without.

Good Design for carrying, not for protection [Posted on 2008-04-30]
Real Simple, it's a great design, easy to put together and snap in place. Seems like real good quality leather. Shoulder harness has good padding. But it's not meant to be a protective case, it is what it says it is and a carrying harness. Buttons are easy to get to, easy to pick up and go.
