I needed wireless remotes around the house to control the one satellite receiver that fed the rest of the house, but have never gotten them all to work reliably. One problem is that the battery replacement module button battery contacts are easy to dislodge and it is hard to get reliable contact with the batteries. Out of 3 units, I have only one that works reliably, and I had to epoxy the contacts in place to get that to be stable. I have not had time fix the other units. You might be luckier than I was. When it works, it works very well.
