It's perfect! [Posted on 2007-09-12] The case is high quality, it looks great, fits perfectly and protects my entire Ipod. I highly recommend it.
If you're using with an iTrip, beware. [Posted on 2007-09-21] I read many reviews on many different cases before settling on this one for my 80gb iPod. Right out of the box it's pretty cool. I like that it's fully enclosed so as to keep the screen from getting scratched up. I had to kind of tweak the back piece a little in order to get it on, but the front popped on with no issue. However, when I tried to remove the back piece again I found it was a bit of a struggle. It got to the point that I considered calling in the jaws of life, but I think my threats of violence frightened it into submission and I was finally able to pry it loose. I had to kind of pull the sides apart and push on the iPod from the back side to get it back out. Oh well...it won't be much of an issue because there is easy access to the headphone jack, hold button and dock, right? *buzzer* Wrong sir, wrong! Actually, the headphone jack and hold switch are easy enough to get to, but the opening on the bottom for the dock connector is not nearly long enough to accommodate my Griffin iTrip. I can get it to sit in there, but not enough to where it's useable. #%)(&&~*%~%^ So it looks like I'm going to have to take off the (hard-to-remove) backing every time I want to listen to it in the car, which for me is every day. And I can already tell that will be a pain in the neck. The jury is still out on whether or not I will continue to use this or just return it. (I am glad I decided to wait on the second color I almost bought.) Overall, not a bad purchase if you want something with full coverage, but bad if you use the iTrip.
Fits iPod Classic (80G) [Posted on 2007-11-07] I spent a long time on the internet trying to figure out whether this case would fit the new iPod Classic, and I'm happy to report that it does. I have the 80G iPod Classic, and the smaller of the two backs included in the package fits quite well; I assume the larger would fit the 160G, though I haven't tried it. As other reviewers have mentioned, this is a nice sleek little case. I was looking for something to protect my iPod when I tossed it in my bag, and to keep any inadvertent spills away. I think this case will do nicely; it's solid and well-made. It does add a bit of bulk and weight, obviously, but not too much, and the controls are all still accessible. I'd heard some problems with the headphone jack access point being a problem, but I have normal headphones (not the earbuds) and I don't have any problems. Also, the USB/dock connector is reachable without taking the iPod out of its case, which was a must for me. Frankly, I doubt I'll ever take my iPod out - the back is so perfectly clear that the serial number is visible, and the case seems to protect without inhibiting any of the functions.
The only thing I'd like is some non-slip rubberized bumps on the back, just so it wouldn't slide around a desk quite so easily, but that's a very minor quibble and something I could solve myself.
This is a must have item for your ipod [Posted on 2008-01-14] Wow! This case made my ipod look brand new and unique. It's a high quality case (not flimsy at all). This should really help protect my ipod from every day where and tear.
Nearly perfect case [Posted on 2008-05-22] I love the color and personality my green case adds to my ipod. It offers great protection, including breakaway case upon dropping the ipod. Easy to put together and remove, but does not fall off unless you want it to. I love the fact that it covers the screen and scroll wheel completely (my silicone case allowed pebbles into the scroll wheel hole, which scratched my ipod). Works great with an ipod that travels with a group of pre-teens. I cannot imagine a better case. The only problem: does not work with griffin italk pro (the one accessory I use). Not a big deal, because we only use the italk inside.
