Good and Bad [Posted on 2008-02-18] If you want to protect your iPod it's a great case, however, if you expect a Belkin case to fit a Belkin FM transmitter you are mistaken. You'll have to look around a bit more to find a case that doesn't have the front lip going further down than the back and causing the bottom to not fit on the docks of a transmitter or any kind of stereo system.
Just what I wanted [Posted on 2008-02-24] So many ipod covers lack protection of the click wheel and even the screen or are just unnecessarily bulky. This ipod cover is exactly what I was looking for. It offers complete protection while still looking like an ipod and comes off easy enough if necessary. I would recommend it.
ONE OF THE BEST [Posted on 2008-03-15] First let me say that the Belkin case I have is for the 2G Nano. I just purchased a 3G nano and the iSee Contour case for it. The Contour case is fine, but the SILICONE insert that protects the click wheel is terrible. The Belkin case has a smooth cover for the click wheel that is very sensitive and works great. The one on the Contour tends to stick to your fingers and is not sensitive. I bought the Contour because I wanted a removable/adjustable belt clip. The clip is great, the case is great, the click wheel cover is not great. So I am going to get the Belkin Remix Acrylic cover for my 3G Nano and live without a belt clip. As with any plastic case, they scratch over time. The case for my 2G Nano is scratched, but after a year the click wheel still works great and the screen is still very readable. Bottom line -- the Belkin is a smart buy. I just wish it came with a belt clip.
Great case but beware plastic lip may not fit docks [Posted on 2008-05-07] My wife said I did great picking up these cases for the kid's nanos. We put them on right away and you can see a shiny unscratched nano underneath in a hard shell plastic case. That is exactly what you want. One problem though, if you have an iPod dock, it might not work. I can get it to work on some of my docks and not others. There is a small plastic lip that overhangs the front of the case so you have to remove the dock adapter and see if the connection will reach. It works on my iPod alarm clock without a snap in adapter and on one of my speakers but it doesn't work on my third dock. Look at your docks to see how far it protrudes. I can verify that the Omnivibe speaker doesn't reach (no sound and no charge) the Bushnell Itunes does, and the Luna Alarm Clock does. The case rocks, the lip is an achilles heel.
great case for ipod [Posted on 2008-05-08] i checked alot of ipod cases online before i purchased this one. this is for the new ipod nano and it looks great. many cases either dont protect the screen or the click wheel. i know the white click wheel can get very dirty from experience with my old ipod. i like this case because this has a very thin protective layer over the wheel and it can still be very easy to use. this is the first case that i bought but i think its great. the only thing that i dont like about it that dirt can be easily trapped inside due to the opening on the bottom for headphones and usb. the case snaps shut and opens easily but is still very secure. over, great case i would recommend over the other ones, great price too.
