I have this plugged in behind my TV, and it has worked flawlessly with my Xbox 360. Never had to even look at it since I originally hooked it up!

Despite these other reviews claiming it locks up and freezes I have not encountered that at all over the past 2 months. Sound quality is fine. I wish the local electronic stores carried this product.

My Bose home theater, kind of stupid, has only 1 optical digital audio input, and 4 coaxial digital audio inputs. Most of the devices, now a day, only support optical digital audio input.
So, I purchased this converter. And here is my review on this product.
Pros:
+ It's quite easy to install. It comes with a power adapter. Just plugs that to the outlet. Connect the coaxial digital audio, in my case, to my home theater. Connect the optical digital audio to my DVD player.
+ The audio is pretty good. Now, I can listen to Dolby Digital 5.1 from my DVD player.
Cons:
+ After purchasing the converter, you will need to purchase 2 more cables, the optical digital audio cable and the coaxial digital audio cable.
+ I've heard people having problem with it that will require unplug the power adapter and replug it. I never had this kind of problem..... well until yesterday. The audio just stopped. I didn't have time to try the fix (by unplug the adapter). But, I turned it on again this morning. And it is working. So, it got a hiccup. Hopefully, the hiccup doesn't happen too often.
