Don't get confused!!!! [Posted on 2007-03-25] This item will not work with PIXMA MP810 printers. None of the photo pigments are compatpable with this unit. I am now the proud owner of a CLI-8PC ink tank that is completely useless to me. I suppose it's my fault since, when I looked at these reviews several other people had the same problem. Let all other buyers be aware and not make the same mistake!
Use only original when you want the best [Posted on 2007-08-06] I've just upgraded to a Pro9000 from my 'old' i900D and what a difference right out of the box. The dedicate green and red cartridges make a huge difference. I've tried refillables before and will never again deal with the hassle and mess to save a few pennies and get inferior results. To those who give it one or two stars, read the literature to see what cartridges work with your particular printer. The "Photo" cartridges are not designed for your small 4 or 5 cartridge printers. Remember, you're rating the product, not your expertise!
canon cli-8pc photo cyan ink tank [Posted on 2008-04-03] Let's see. It's an ink tank. For a Canon inkjet printer. That you insert and use. Phew - I'm exhausted.
Its Ink... [Posted on 2008-11-23] Its ink, it works, what i ordered was what i thought it was, so nothing more to say.
There is more than one Cyan Ink! [Posted on 2008-12-16] I've owned several printers in the past and tried all of the so-called Canon substitutes. As most of us know, they simply do not work as well.
So when I purchased the Canon printer I am currently using, I promised never to use an ink other than Canon. Although they cost much more than the substitutes, the prices on Amazon seem to be the most favorable.
But I did run into a snag. I searched cyan blue on the Amazon site and order a tank. When I went to replace several colors, all went well until I tried to set the Cyan blue in place. Nothing! After several attempts, I suddenly realized that the tank I was attempting to replace was a CLI-8C and I had unkowingly purchased a CLI-8PC - Photo Cyan. I contacted Canon and was told the printer would not accept the Photo Cyan.
Certainly not the end of the world. But I do wish the product listing on Amazon contained some sort of warning about the difference. I then searched for cyan blue on Amazon and finally found it way down in the listing and purchased a tank. However, I would suggest that the search and/or listing be modified in some way to distinguish between the two inks.
