Sturdy [Posted on 2008-05-02] Great shoulder bag. Bought it for my daughted to carry her lap top in. She loves it. Puts her lap top in along with everything else she needs. Pleanty of room, very sturdy. Fast delivery.
Simple but roomy [Posted on 2008-05-22] I just got this and haven't actually used it yet, but I figured I'd add a few comments since I depended on them so much when I was selecting a bag. The most important thing for me was a bag that could fit school books as well as my 15.4" computer, and this seems like it will do the job. I was able to fit about 4" of books in and the bag was able to comfortably close (and I might even be able to squeeze more in). It claims its width is 8", and that was the best I could find when I was looking at the specs of different bags online.
Some drawbacks: no handle on top to grab, which I didn't use often on my old bag but it does come in handy. No special slots for pens or small items; just a zippered pocket (which I'll try using for pens/highlighters) and an open mesh pocket. (The description mentioned something about a full organization panel, but I'm not sure what that refers to.) The side panels seem a little thin, and since that was the first thing to tear in my old bag I'm hoping this won't be a problem.
Overall, it does seem like a good bag and I needed it for the book space, but keep in mind that it doesn't have some of the features that you might be used to.
messenger bag [Posted on 2008-06-08] I love this bag, i use it to carry my 14 inch laptop and theres enough room to put the charger, webcam, cds and etc. great product.
Great bag, only 1 problem... [Posted on 2008-09-08] Well, I've had this bag for a few weeks now and have had a lot of time to try it out and experiment with it. I took it on a recent trip to California as my carry-on and it was great, with only one problem. It held an incredible amount of things: my computer, external drive, books, phone, several charging cords, snacks, and probably anything else I would have wanted to fit in there. But, I discovered that when filled that full it tears into your shoulders because it has no pad on the shoulder strap to distribute the weight. I wish I had thought to look and see that before I bought it! But over all I love the bag it's got a great look, great size, and seems very sturdy overall. I think I'm just going to try to fix the strap myself, maybe add a pad from another bag or something.
Good travel bag [Posted on 2008-10-28] I bought this bag for everyday use and for frequent travel. It's very sturdy and is more my style than traditional business-use laptop cases. On a recent flight it fit easily under the seat while STUFFED with my laptop, 4 file-folders, a leather portfolio, my purse (including wallet, ipod and palm pilot), umbrella, mouse, DJ-style headphones and an assortment of snacks; very impressive to me. Drawbacks: no shoulder pad (a $2 seatbelt pad from an an auto supply store works well), no handle on top, and the pocket on the front flap is too small to be useful. I've learned to be very careful where I set it, because it attracts dog hair like nothing else. Overall I am quite pleased with this bag.
