I thought my 3025 failed after 2 years of everyday use. It was working great then all of a sudden I got lots of snow on the two input channels.
I read the reviews here and before buying the low pass filter, I tried channel 122 and 124...Whew!
Works fine again. The cable system must have added a signal and it almost blew me a way.

This thing is very cool. I have video cameras on both daughters and have injected each on a different channel on the cable. It really does need the filter to work up to par. I bought the channelplus lpf-600 that only passes channels 2-86. Their support is good. I do not know how long the warranty is, but mine stopped working reliably after more than a year. It only took a few minutes on the phone to set up the return, and I had my new unit a few days after they received the damaged unit. I ruined my power supply for it and they sent me another one for free. By the way, a trick for others who want a video monitor on their kids that works at night. I use cheap black and white cameras that have very week infrared lights built in. Those infrareds do not illuminate anything. After some thought I decided to put a desk lamp on their dressers and use black lightbulbs in them. It is a perfect night light, giving a dim soft purple light. That sucker puts off tons of infrared, completely illuminating the room for the camera to work at night.

Works as described. I had no problem setting it up and putting it to work. I am now able to cut down to one Direct TV Reciever for the whole house. Make sure you get a low band pass filter if you are running CATV through it, the two channels look horrible with out one.

This product is great for sending all your video all over the house. Make your home fully multimedia. This Channel Plus is so much better than the Channel Master series!!! I use it to send DVD from the front DVD Changer to rooms in the house. Very happy with this unit...been running flawless for over 2 years now...buy one.
Still a very good system, even with HDTV [Posted on 2007-09-19]
I installed this system in my house 4 years ago, thinking it would eventfully become obsolete with the conversion from standard definition to high definition, wide screen TV. However, I have recently added high definition TVs to the system, and I am very happy with the results. This is because most cable boxes will also convert the high definition signal to an analog output in an anamorphic format, which is the preferred quality for movies on DVDs. So, although the TV signal is then transmitted by the Channel Plus 3025 system in a standard definition format, it is compressed horizontally, but maintains 480 lines of vertical resolution. The signal can then be stretched back into a wide screen format by the high definition TV, maintaining much of the original resolution.... enough so that at distances from the TV greater than about 4 times the diagonal dimensions of the wide screen, it is difficult to tell the difference between the Channel Plus signal and a true high definition signal.
Channel Plus also sells components that can be added to this system that greatly increase both quality of the sound and convenience to the user. Channel Plus model 5601 will add MTS stereo sound to the 3025, and CHANNEL PLUS 2133 I/R Remote Target will add remote control capability to up to 5 additional TVs; both components work very well, and I highly recommend them. And as others have noted, adding the appropriate filter to remove any noise or unwanted channels where you want to place your added channels can be very important, and can make all the difference in the quality of the video. An alternative, if you only want to generate one new channel, or are only interested in transmitting that channel to one or two TVs is CE Labs 1001St Stereo Agile Rf Modulator. Both the Channel Plus and CE Labs modulators work very well.
