This is a convenient way to obtain a pair of infrared headphones for use in a home which already has AC powered infrared projectors attached to television sets. The package, as marketed, is meant for back seat use in an automobile. I did not install the provided unit in my automobile and am thus unable to comment on its utility. The two headphones which I purchased work perfectly well in my home.
