Simple, Clean / Clear, Dependable Ipod Case [Posted on 2008-10-15]
1. I've used the rubbery type skin cases before--> dust magnet, flimsy plastic cover for the screen, too sticky when carrying the ipod in pockets etc...
2. I've also used the Griffen Clear Case--> ok, but as others have noted--> if you drop it--> it'll easily crack.
3. I've also used the invisible shield--> somewhat tough to put on, you may have bubbles and it'll only function as a protective device for scratches; it won't give any protection against drops.
4. This Contour Case is definitely the best ipod case I've come across thus far. It's very simple to use, it has a clean design, it appears to be durable (especially because of the rubberized corners) and it also has a very nice removable belt clip. Highly recommended.

This baby is AMAZING!! I've tried multiple case types...from many different iPod accessory mavens (Belkin, InCase, and others) and this case by Contour is BY FAR the best!
I originally bought this case close to 2 years ago, and it saved my loved iPod from many a bump and fall (sometimes from 5+ feet directly on to concrete)...but the "hinge" unexpectedly failed. I contacted Contour directly, and they expressed their concern and offered their apologies and asked that I return it to them as soon as possible. I sent it back to them via UPS just this past Friday, and today received a brand new case with no questions asked. Now if that's not customer service, I don't know what is!! :)
So not only is this case rock-solid, hands-down the BEST case on the market for protecting your iPod from unexpected falls and spills, but the company behind it is by (IMHO) the BEST in existence!
Please give them a try. I promise that you won't be disappointed!! :)

I am very glad i purchased this case. It was exactly what I was looking for. It looks really good on the ipod. People say that it has no scroll wheel protection, but I really didn't see any cases that did, and I don't really see it being a problem. It does get scratched, but my ipod was getting scratched too and I don't know about you but i would rather have my case get scratched than the actual ipod itself. That's what I bought it for. Plus the scratches don't obscure the view at all so it's not a big deal. The belt clip works great too although I have a hard time getting it off when I want to, but that's not necessarily a bad thing, it means it's really secure. The locking mechanism is good but sometimes I get confused which way they are supposed to go. One thing that I don't like is the fact that in order to get the ipod out you do have to push on the scroll wheel and pretty hard too. I also find getting to the hold button is a little difficult especially if I didn't have nails. But I'm really glad i bought this case because it looks nice and protects my ipod well. I do recommend it!

This is a very nice case. Fits the classic perfectly. The back is clear with rubberized edge, which keeps the unit from sliding around. The only thing that I don't like is the belt clip is not very easy to remove. Overall, much better than anything else I looked at.
Contour case for iPod [Posted on 2008-11-14]
I have a contour case for an older iPod and one day while on a treadmill jogging my hand caught the earphone cord and the iPod went flying against the wall, expecting the worst, pluged back in and all was well. So when I got a new iPod got a contour case for my new one and haven't had any mishaps but the case has protected it from scratches and I like the way it looks too.
