Sound quality of the speakers in this product are AWSOME! Very nice base and love the detachable mic. Only thing bad about this headset is it does not have the surround sound speakers. But trust me, the speakers it has make up for it. Also durable.

Nice sound for the price, good fit (despite the reviews I read... probably depends on you ears), I like the fact that you can detach the mic.

After my Steelseries 5h v2 broke last week, I started searching for a new headset. The Creative Fatal1ty is definitely the bang-for-the-buck choice. The sound is comparable with the sound of my 5hv2, and I think it handles better the basses. The mic on the other hand, is not as good as the one from my 5hv2, but the voice is still pretty clear over Vent and TS.
On the con side, I think the cable could've been sturdier. They look a little thin and fragile to me, so I guess I need to be careful not to step on it.
Also, it comes with a leather-like bag to store the headset when traveling or whatever, so that's a plus.
Again, if you want good sound for less than 50 bucks, I think this headset is the best choice.

I'm using this for WoW and other games with Ventrillo. Works well, no software or driver to install. Plug and play on Mac OSX Leopard 10.5. Awesome sound. Clear, loud mic. Everyone says they can hear me very clearly. The volume switch on the headset cord increases or decreases system volume (same as using the sound up or down buttons on your keyboard). This replaced a logitech gaming headset and I'm so much happier! Perfect for Mac Gaming!

I spent a lot of time looking for a new headset and decided to try out this one. I've been pretty disappointed with it overall, and ended up buying another headset soon after. My major complaint is that it is extremely uncomfortable to wear for extended periods. The ear-cups are hard and press too firmly on your ear. Also the headband presses tightly on the top of your head, and despite a large amount of padding is quite stiff, giving you a headache after about an hour of use.
Performance wise, the headphones are decent as well as the microphone. They don't block much sound at all however so don't expect to use these in a loud room. I wouldn't recommend these headphones to most people.
