I previously owned the retractable AV cable which at the beginning was convenient but the wire casings were so thin that one pull on the cord instead of the head and its in the trash. This cable is solid, it provides excellent contact points with the best picture and sound clarity available without gold plating. As for the claim that the the connector creates a tight fit to the mp3 player, that is a GOOD thing. The last thing you want is a loose connection causing wear on the mp3 data port and giving you a bad picture. This is without a doubt, the best AV cable for your Zen.

YOU MUST GET THIS IF YOU HAVE A ZEN M...THE PITURE IS WONDERFULL...ALL MY FRIENDS WAS AMAZE ON HOW GREAT THE PIC WAS..GET IT GET IT ..YOU CANT USE IT WITH THE DOCKING STATION AND YOU CANT CHARGE YOUR ZEN PLAYER WHILE WATCHING A MOVIE, BUT THE ZEN HAVE A GREAT BATERY LIFE... YOU SHOULD GET THIS..

This item connects to the my 42 inch plasma tv.
I haven't had any problems with it after the past couple months. The only thing is the resolution of the video on the tv but i think you just need better quality video. great product.
