I was stupid enough to try this product, and it killed my son's iPod Shuffle. Ouch!

GREAT FOR THE PRICE AND PURPOSE [Posted on 2007-01-29]
I have three of these Dynex shuffle speakers. I bought them on sale at Best Buy (one for $20 and the other two for $15 each). The fact that they charge the shuffle, alone, is reason enough to justify the price. The sound is incredibly loud and incredibly clear for the size and cost. I use them for both music and audiobooks. I also use one with my laptop too.
I can't imagine why the other reviewers had such bad experiences. They are not meant to fill an auditorium with sound, nor are they meant to replace home stereo equipment. My feeling is you get MORE than you pay for with the Dynex speaker. I own a Bose iPod speaker ($299) and an Apple iPod speaker ($349) and I still think the quality and volume of the Dynex is excellent for the size and price.

Advice: the volume on BOTH the shuffle and the speaker needs to be adjusted to get the greatest volume.
I give this product an A+ if obtained for under $20.
I am a VERY discriminating shopper. I don't rate something 5 stars unless I'm overjoyed with it.

I got my speaker back around 1 yr ago. I put it in my hair salon and played music everyday at work, I had many people say the sound was great, and people asking what radio station was it on because the music and sound was great, Lots of people went out and got them and said it was a great price at 12.00 and played very good. My speaker stop working after a little over a year. I am here to buy one more.
