The product is what was expected. The service and timing was classic Amazon; right on time!!! I would not have expected any less.

I purchased this update for my Garmin C340 and i don't see a bit of difference in the maps or the performance of my GPS. I live in Houston, Texas and the GPS still can't find my workplace, my gym, a nearby wal-mart and most other things. I am not sure what got updated by this DVD but i can tell you for sure...it wasn't the maps. I have two C340s and i was hoping to somehow update both with this DVD but it won't let me. The Garmin people tell me that i need to buy another DVD to update the other GPS....well, that's a mistake i am not going to repeat...especially when i am wishing i should not have bought this one. Don't waste your money buying this update..wait for a few years till Garmin comes up with Map update 2021 DVD and update everything then....and hope they updated the maps...

The map update did not correct ANY of the known flaws of my earlier version. In fact, I tested the differences, and where the old version made me miss my turn going through Clayton, NC into Smithfield, the new version makes me miss the turn, plus gives a (too)late prompt for a corrective turn with the recalculation. I wish I had stayed with the earlier version. The update has not made anything easier.

As with all Garmin updates, installation is easy and accurate. My only complaint is that this software will only upgrade one device. I have two Garmins - a Streetpilot and a 60csx for track and trail use. I have to buy two copies to update both units. It should be like some computer software - you can put it on a "desktop" and on a portable. I am sure that they can limit installation to those devices you have registered with Garmin.

the garman 2009 map update . i installed it and found it cured some of the incorrect maps , which were on allmost evey destnation i chose. but , it still had a lot of errors that were 5 to 7 years old still on the update which i installed. conclusion it helped but leaves a lot to be desired in map corrections .is it worth the money ? not if you pay full price for the update .
