Customer Reviews:

Great Headphones [Posted on 2007-01-17]
I was looking for headphones for my Ipod for my commuting, and was overjoyed to discover Grado made a set that was portable and made especially for the Ipod. If you do the research, Grado is considered hands down the best headphones out there, and this is to my knowledge their cheapest and most commute friendly pair they have made thus far. I'm not a music expert but I've had many pairs of headphones over the years, and this blew them all away. Test them out, when you wear a grado you'll realize how awful your regular sets have been all along. So basically

Pros: -great sounding headphones, most likely the best you'll find in this price range

cons: -they don't look as cool as the other grados
- I'm not a huge fan of behind the ear design, but they do fit snug to my head. looks potentially troublesome for others
- plastic looks a little flimsy, worried they might break

these typically go for around 50 bucks, you'll never find a discount or sale on grados, but they're always worth the price because they outperform other brand's more expensive models

Excellent sound, kinda dorky design [Posted on 2007-06-14]
After reading a great review of these in the Chicago Tribune, I was really interested in getting a pair for my iPod, since ear buds have always bothered me.
The good news is that the sound is incredible and I don't get the clogged ear-canal feeling like I used to with the ear buds. I'm finally listening to my iPod again after a year's hiatus.
The bad news is the chunky design.
In fact, the outer shells of the speaker assembly jut from my ears so much that I can actually see them in my peripheral vision while I'm listening!
Also, I think I'd be better off with the black color. Whenever I see myself in a reflection with these big white things sticking out of my ears, all I can think of is Woody Allen pretending to be that robot in "Sleeper." A co-worker actually said to me, "Those are some pretty intense headphones ... oh, but you're married, so that's okay."

great headphones  [Posted on 2007-12-27]
love these headphones. did alittle online research on headphones and discovered Grado, something i wasn't familiar with. Glad i did. These headphones perform!
Amongst the high end products this is a great value. Currently use them with a 80gb ipod, 4gb ipod mini, and denon A/V receiver.

Sound great but hurt my ears [Posted on 2008-04-22]
Grado makes great headphones, and they've brought their technology to a lightweight, high quality iPod headphone. The sound is really good and the weight and design is just right.

The problem is: they hurt my ears. There's no way to adjust the size and they clamp down on the ears, so that after half an hour or so, you gotta take them off.

It's too bad. Other than causing mild physical pain, they're great. So, if you want headphones that you can keep on for hours at a time, look elsewhere. If you listen in relatively short spurts, these will work.
