The SmartScan feature is worth the price. However I find myself wishing the FM transmitter had more power. I constantly have to turn up the volume.

Got this gadget for my son's 19th birthday. He was impressed by its ease of operation and quality of transmission. Works great as he travels--searches for stations effectively, AND charges his iPod. Good choice.

I didn't have high expectations for this product. Works well in rural areas where there is not a lot of interference from other FM stations. in city setting works but have to change stations depending where I travel. I listen to a lot of podcasts so good quality is not a must. If you're looking to play music you may want to try a more expensive alternative wired to your radio. It's better than nothing and was a good price. I got what I paid for.

The scan feature works great, especially if you are driving by yourself and trying to find an empty station. Only flaw I found was driving through big city, it might be hard trying to get a good radio station. I usually have to change it a few times. I would recommended to whoever that dont have a cassette deck. Sound is great.
Not worth the money [Posted on 2008-09-22]
This adapter is awful. No matter what "blank" station it finds, it still doesn't work. The sound is incredibly soft, and the static/"blank" station overpowers any music coming through. I bought this to replace the Monster charger I bought, thinking it would work better, but I'm going back to my cheap one. If you want an expensive car charger for your ipod, then buy this. Otherwise, don't waste your money. I wish I hadn't.
