Customer Reviews:

It's not a power dock! [Posted on 2007-11-22]
It doesn't plug into the wall or provide power in any way from any source not already available without the dock. The Sansa MP3 player alone has two plug-in possibilities: a USB cable to your PC and an audio jack to your headphones or a stereo. This dock has only those same two options. There is no value added by the dock.

Per the product description, I expected a plug-into-the-wall-outlet dock that would charge the batteries in my daughter's room where there is no PC. I also expected audio cables to connect to her stereo shelf system. This product failed to meet any expectations.

Don't pay good money for a dock that provides only the same two ports already available on your Sansa MP3 player.

Pretty Simple, but it looks good [Posted on 2007-12-03]
What can you say about this product, it doesn't really do a whole lot. I wanted a simple dock to put with my computer to make attaching/charging/syncing my Sansa an easier task than grabbing the cable, making sure its in the right orientation then jamming it in there. With this baby you just slide it right in and away you go. I'm a sucker for things with blue lights on them and this one had one. If you're looking for a place to plug your Sansa in and control it with a remote and all that, this isn't it. If you're looking for a quick and elegant way to connect your Sansa to your computer this will work great.

I still haven't recieved my dock for my mp3 player [Posted on 2008-01-07]
I have recieved my product from this company as of yet, and it is now been a month since i ordered it, and no one has even tried to help me locate it, no one has given me a tracking number, the company keeps telling me to leave product feedback for the item, but why should i leave feedback, i haven't recieved it....if someone can fix the problem, then i would be happy to leave feedback, but until someone has a solution, or can refund my money to me, then i am not leaving positive feedback for anything i haven't recieved, and for a company that doesn't care about its consumers

Cheap and effective... and it DOES charge the unit... if... [Posted on 2008-02-05]
This dock does exactly what I wanted it to do...
I only give it 4 stars because it didn't come with the wall charger, but I had a bunch laying around anyway. This uses a standard USB connector and I must have a dozen random devices that use a wall charger compatible with it. Currently it is using the charger from my old Rio Carbon MP3 player, but it could also use a charger from most newer Motorola cell phones.
As it is, I keep this on my desk at work. It is plugged in to the wall for power and I have powered speakers hooked up to it. I come in each morning, drop the Sansa into the dock and hit "play"
The music comes through the powered speakers and the player gets charged thanks to the AC charger.
Yes, it is silly that it doesn't come with the AC charger... but it *does* work and the price is right. I'm going to buy a second one to use at home. You might even have something suitable laying around and you didn't realize you could use it with this dock.

Does what it should do. [Posted on 2008-04-17]
Bought this after reading the other reviews. It DOES work as a charger. I also used my old Rio Carbon charger. Works fine. I didn't buy this to link to my computer so I can't comment on how that may or may not work. The dock is very nice. Brushed aluminum looks real slick. It looks better charging your Sansa in a upright position. Takes less of a beating that way. If your looking for a simple charging unit then I would recommended this. If you wait and watch the price's you can pick this up dirt cheap as I did.
