I have had this product for about a month now and I purchased it so that I could have it at my job. My coworkers whom use it love it because it does what it says it will do...Charge the iphones and ipods that we own. It comes with all of the attachments for every model of ipod and iphone. If you need a charging station in your house or a place of work...get it. Amazon has the best price for this product and if you need more slots, then get the PowerDock 4.

I love that I can charge my iPhone and/or iPod and be able to see the screen on either item instead of laying flat with a cord. This is a great ideal.

Very nicely done. Looks good, well built an designed. However Griffin has not sold off their existing stock of older units without an iPhone 3G adapater in the box. The unit I received from Amazon is just that - an older box sans 3G adapter. I carefully place the iPhone in the dock and it works well with no adapter at all, but that is a bad idea I'm sure. I can buy an adapter for a reasonable $1.99 from Griffin. What isn't reasonable is the shipping charge of $5! So I can get the piece of plastic that should have been in the box for around $7 - super. Definitely makes this dock less of a bargain.
I'd be completely satisfied if Griffin had offered a check box on the Amazon order page to include a 3G adapter with the dock. I would have given it 5 stars.
If you have a 3G iPhone wait until you see that the Amazon order page says "iPhone 3G compatible" before you order. Save your self some dollars.
Well Made and Does the Trick [Posted on 2008-10-26]
This works with my iPhone 3G using the proper adapter insert provided. I use it to charge my phone at night. The price was right and it works well. I would have preferred a single bay, but this was cheaper than some single alternatives and rated highly on the Apple website.
