perfect fit [Posted on 2008-01-07] the sansa express is cool looking, and didn't want to cover it up with a colored case. The iClear by Griffin is great. Unfortunately I went to buy another one last night and it seems the price has significantly risen, so I will not be purchasing another one until it comes back down. But, if willing to pay, it is perfect.
Great! [Posted on 2008-01-26] This little case is great! Its crystal clear and fits the sansa express perfectly. The material feels really strong and durable and the openings on it let you operate your sansa perfectly. I would definitely recommend it!
Great accessory! [Posted on 2008-03-19] This is such a great product and a snug fit on the express. I would recommend this product over any other sansa cases. The griffin iclear is worth the money you pay and the clip makes it all the more while. It protects the memory chip from falling out accidentally as well as provides protection on screen. This was well worth the money paid for it. This is a must have for any mp3 player owners.
Very nice hard case! [Posted on 2008-03-28] This case caught my eye because of its belt-clip, something I didn't see in other Sansa Express cases. At $10, it was certainly inexpensive enough to give a shot!
The main player is sandwiched between two hard clear plastic pieces that interlock to make the main case, while the cap is pushed down into a single cup-shaped piece. All the holes line up great, the player is fully operational when encased. Its thickness makes it a bit harder to get at the expansion card, a positive in my opinion. (Take note that the card is not covered though, so it is possible for it to get accidentally ejected if you're not careful and bump the player the right way!) The case seems sturdy enough, no breaking or cracking after a few drops.
As far as removal goes, the main part can be separated with a simple turn of the fingernail. It's on firm enough that accidental removal won't happen, but removal is not hard at all. The cap, however, is a bit more difficult... you must push it straight out, but to do so you must harness the powers of the universe into the tip of one of your fingers and push the itty-bitty exposed piece of the player cap (where the lanyard is attached) until it pops out. It's a challenge, but since I only rarely need to change cases, it's not a big deal.
The clip on the case works great on my belt during low to moderate activity. I tried running with it attached to my pants however, and it fell off once or twice, sending the player flying and dangling by the headphones. When clipped to something thicker, like a belt, it grips better and would be less prone to flying off... but I don't run with a belt on... so, in my opinion, this case isn't spectacular if you're going to be doing a lot of bouncing around without a belt or something thick for it to clip onto.
All-in-all, it's a really nice case, a great value for the money, perfect for if you plan on using it at places other than the gym! If you're looking for something to hold your player for you while you run or bounce around, I'd suggest looking for something that straps on a little tighter!
Great Product [Posted on 2008-03-28] This does the job. Very nice and easy to put on your Sandisk Express. Protects very well and gives it an even nicer look I think. With kids and mp3 players its a must.
