Not as good as the other Griffins I've purchased... [Posted on 2007-12-15] I got this receiver so I could listen to my iPod in my car, because I had had great experiences with the Griffins that I had purchased for my iPod mini. This one, quite frankly, sucks. It's not like I live in LA, where the radio station can be interupted easily. I live in Utah! Hello? You have to turn the volume way up on the nano BEFORE you attach it to the Griffin to be able to hear even a little bit, and the loud hum you have to hear in order to listen to your music isn't even worth it. I finally just trashed mine because it was so frustrating.
Must be very close to antennae [Posted on 2007-12-31] This FM transmitter had to be within inches of the radio antennae to clearly pick up the music being played. I do not recommend it for use in a vehicle. Works ok if the iPod can be situated right next to the antennae. I tried many stations for broadcasting which didn't seem to help in the car.
Works..... but not great. [Posted on 2007-12-31] I love the way this transmitter integrates with the Nano. It fits perfectly and makes a neat and tidy package, however; the transmitter is so weak that you MUST place the unit VERY close to the receiver and/or its antenna. Even then, there is often more static/interference than I'm comfortable with. If you find just the right spot and don't move, it works fine but while driving, you should expect inconsistent sound quality. I think it's worth the price but please don't set your expectations too high.
Wrong item [Posted on 2008-02-08] The item in the picture and the discription were different from the item I recieved. I paid $20.00 for something I could have got on ebay for $5.00! The item I thought I was buying was no longet in stock.
works but eats the battery [Posted on 2008-04-29] While working, reduces the battery lenght a lot. Fine if you don't live in a crowded radio frequency area.
