Great product, great price [Posted on 2008-07-04] We ordered this HDMI cable since we needed an extra one for the bedroom. We were a little bit skeptical since the price was so cheap. We hooked it up and couldn't tell the difference between this cable or the one we previously purchased for about $40 (we own a 1080p HD tv). I definitely recommend this product.
I did not believe [Posted on 2008-07-04] I purchased this item mainly to prove to myself that nothing this inexpensive would work! The cables were free, for all practical purposes, you just had to pay S&H. I got them and plugged them into my new Samsung 52" and, to my amazement" they work fine, great picture. I am fighting with myself not to buy the more expensive Monster Cables to see if there is a difference. I hope I win. For anyone considering these cables, do not hesitate!
Great for HD Gaming [Posted on 2008-07-05] A lot of reviews tell you this is a great HDMI cable for HD broadcasting...I just want to add that it's just as good as any HDMI cable for HD gaming too. I bought this HDMI cable for my Xbox 360 to connect to my Sony KDL-32M4000 and the results are flawless. I highly recommend this cable...you just can't beat the price for the results you get along with it!
Works usually, but cheap! [Posted on 2008-07-07] Works perfectly about 95% of the time. See below for the other 5%.
Received cable as a special deal for $0.01 USD along with purchase of my Philips upconversion dvd player from Amazon. The cable didn't work on the first port of my tv, it only came up as a digitally scrambled image. I tried it on the second port and it worked fine. Occasionally it needs to be unplugged and re-plugged from time to time or it does it again. There's been times it has worked on the first port also, so I attribute it to the cheap HDMI cable and not the TV (which was a brand new Magnavox). That said, it always works after the occasional fidgeting to get it to the point where it's "satisfied" and then works flawlessly until moved. Once in a while I lose sound when I put a new disc in the DVD player, but I just unplug it and re-plug it and power cycle the player and all is fine again. These cables can sell for anywhere from $29.99 - $149.99 a cable, so to get this one for 1 cent was ridiculous and I can't possibly complain...even if it takes special attention every so often.
Doesn't get any cheaper than this [Posted on 2008-07-07] HDMI is digital, so there is no gray area when it comes to the quality of the signal being transferred like analog cables. Don't be fooled by the expensive cables being sold for ridiculous amounts of money at the retail stores. For this price, you may want to get a couple of cables for future HDMI electronics. This is the cheapest I've found these cables for. Definitely a bargain!
