This is a very utilitarian product. Its lightweight, compact and does what it promises to do. Switch between 3 component inputs.
Pros
- comes w/ remote
- switches component video and TOSLINK audio
- compatible w/ Logitech Harmony Remote
- LED indicates which component is selected
- on / off switch, you'd b surprised the number of KVMs that lack this
- remote comes w/ battery ready to go
- works out of the box (not every electronic device can do this)
Cons
- inputs are very close together, can cause possible interference
- being close together means the inputs have a hard time w/ beefy component cables like Monster or Monoprice high quality cables. The problem is the connections are so close together its difficulty for man sized hands to get in there and plug/unplug
- remote is a joke as far as look/feel
Overall for $50 you can't go wrong, its a nice stop gap solution. But it is not tested to 1080p for those that have TVs that can handle 1080p over component (rare)
