I bought one of these from Wal-Mart online because it was only $99.00 ($149.99 at Amazon). It was great for a while, a powerful deep-tissue massage. However this only lasted about 2 weeks before one of the controls stopped functioning. I sent it back and received a replacement within 10 days. This one did not turn on at all... absolutely no response whatsoever... so back it goes too. I will not be replacing the unit. Pretty poor when the unit fails straight from the box. Don't they do any quality control whatsoever?

I have used several massage chairs, this is far the best under $3000. Don't waste money on other kinds. Get this one

...makes it difficult to tell how great or not-so-great this product is. It didn't come with the adapter for the outlet and Homedics doesn't make replacement ones, so they gave me some obnoxiously long specification list for finding one at, say, Radio Shack (at my expense, of course). Bummer to say the least. For the price, you'd think that Homedics would have that part covered for replacement. I got it for Christmas and it was a month or two before I even got around to trying it. Oh well, at least I'm not the one who paid for it....right??? :-(

This massage cushion is very impressive if used on the right chair. The chair must be a little reclined and larger than most in oder for the cushion to fit correctly and be in the best position. The two modes are both very good and get right into all the areas. Overall, absolutely no regrets about this purchase.
Homedics Therapist Select Shistu + Massager [Posted on 2008-07-26]
I bought this because I have Fibromyalgia which gives me pain all over my body at times and my husband has low back problems. This has a massager that just about covers the entire body when you place it in a chair. We use a reclining chair. Then the Shistu kind of rolls up and down your back and legs. It feels wonderful. It really doesn't take my Fibro pain away, but at least I feel good while I'm using it. And it does help my husband's low back pain. I love all the Homedic products!
