Hard to put on [Posted on 2008-03-30] Hard to get on. Once you get fingerprints on it, they do not come off.
Be careful [Posted on 2008-04-01] There are a lot of shields out there, I'm familiar with Invisible Shield, but when I bought this one from SF Planet, they sent me a cheap knock-off
Is not invisible, and ridiculously expensive [Posted on 2008-07-27] I bought this product at Best Buy (sorry Amazon immediate gratification and all).
What a waste of money. It was $14.99 and only includes one piece for the front. At least the Amazon description is honest about that. The retail packaging does not mention that you need to pay again for the back piece.
As stated above any fingerprints on the sticky side are there for good. The directions do say to spray the special spray on your fingertips to avoid this. but the stuff dries so quickly that you will likely be unsuccessful at this.
Once installed, I discovered that even the parts that were installed perfectly give the front of the iphone a slightly discolored cheap look. Additionally, despite my best efforts to ensure that both the iPhone and the shield were clean I found that I still had one speck of dust right in the middle of the phone. This looked terrible and was permanent.
The final straw was when I tried to make a call and discovered that I could not hear anything. There was supposed to be a hole cut out for the earhole in the phone, but I discovered that although the hole had been perforated, the actual piece was still attached and was blocking the earhole. If I had been aware of this before installation, I would have attempted to remedy this, but it was now too late to do it cleanly.
I ripped that cheap but expensive piece of plastic off the front of my phone and it looks much better.
I would never buy this again.
