Save your money [Posted on 2008-05-17] it is the worst product ever. it takes hours to put on and then easily peel off. i was holding it in my hand and the back part came off and my ipod touch fell on the floor. they also don't provide enough solution for it. even thought it is called the full shield it doesn't protect the whole ipod, the left side on my ipod is still vulnerable to scratches.
Excellent Protection Without Bulk [Posted on 2008-06-02] I like to carry an iPod Touch in my trousers pocket and needed to protect the screen without adding bulk. The Invisible Shield is perfect for this use. It does require patience and care to get on correctly. You also need to make sure your screen is absolutely clean when you apply the shield. Apparently, a small piece of foreign matter settled on my screen or the adhesive side of the shield just before I put it on. There's no going back to remove it, but it is just a minor annoyance. Overall, I'm happy with the product.
This item is HORRIBLE [Posted on 2008-06-03] Yes, I have bought this KNOWING what it was and used it...
Now, here's the bad part.. I don't know HOW they make it look so PERFECT in youtube videos and others because it will not turn out that way. It's hard to apply and if you make one mistake, that mistake is there for good. (Despite the fact they say that you can peel it off and do it again like new but that doesn't work because it stretches). Now, you might be thinking that I might have applied really weird or I stretched it because I didn't know what I was doing.. but I can tell you that I applied the way that it was told AND I took special attention when I was peeling it off after the first failure.
So you might be thinking... Oh there is lifetime replacement guarantee so there is no problem.. WRONG! The guarantee doesn't cover the mistake you make when you apply it.
So if you think you will get this product to apply PERFECTLY on your ipod touch then go ahead, other wise... Don't.
Bad design flaw [Posted on 2008-06-04] Shannon Hatched is right that you dont get scratches.
But for the IPOD TOUCH specifically which I bought the invisible shield for.
There is a bad design flaw that keeps this product from being effective in covering THE ENTIRE FRONT SIDE.
The front sheet covers the entire front area of the ipod touch, so that means the flat main screen AND THE ROUNDED EDGES.
Now if you ever try to put a flat sheet on a surface with slight curved edges you get bubble bumps in the 4 corners. Reason being the area covered by the sheet provided covers MORE area than exists on the front panel.
And even then, if you try to stubbornly push those edges of the sheet down to cover the ipod touch front panel edges, you NOT ONLY get bubbles in the freaking corners (im really annoyed right now) you get tiny bubbles lining where the edge border meets the main black screen and if you TRY to smooth them out.....the edges pop back up...
Bad design flaw - if the product only covered the main screen and not the edges it would be great but it doesnt so dont buy it for the IPOD TOUCH.
If you dont believe me, try it....youll throw it away...like I did...
ALSO
- If you mess up and try to peel it off, it will only come off easily after the first few minutes, after it starts to dry, youll stretch it if you try pulling it off the ipod touch.
- Dont try trimming it without the paper backing either, youll get frayed edges if you dont cut off a minimum amount of area (due to the thickness)
Good things about it? Okay it does prevent against scratches..
But that doesnt matter because it doesnt go on that nicely.
Anyways, my two cents - not worth throwing 20 dollars away.
I think Ill go for screen protectors and a solid back for the case.
Good luck

Best iPod Case Ever!! [Posted on 2008-06-26] I actually went through 3 or 4 different cases before I settled on this one for my iPod Touch. My original inclination was to go with the silicone cases since that is what I've pretty much always used on my mp3 players in the past. The difference now though is that the Touch is soooo slim that even the thin layer of silicone material almost doubles the thickness. Also, there's the aesthetic aspect; It's beautiful and do you really want to hide that beauty?? So that's why I decided to go with the Invisible Shield after checking out the website and I love it! From a distance, you can't even tell it's in a case and even up close the screen and metal casing still shines! I also got my Touch engraved and didn't want to hide that either.
There are, however, two very important caveats to be aware of...1. Installation: Allot yourself AT LEAST an hour to apply it + 24 hours to let it sit and dry. And definitely watch the installation videos both on the website and on youtube (at least two or three times). I almost feel like they should have sent me another iPod just to practice on, lol. This is not just a slip-on case and actually requires some care and attention to do it right...2. Protection: Keep in mind that even though the material is practically puncture-, scratch-, and tear-proof, it is not a shock-absorber (like a silicone case would be). So you still have to be very careful about dropping it or putting it in a bag with other objects that could still damage it.
The good news is that since the Touch has a solid-state hard drive, there aren't any actual moving parts so really the only thing you need to be worried about is cracking the glass screen (which most other cases don't protect you from anyway). Other than that, I think that this is the best case for the Touch out right now. And, as just the icing on the case (as it were), it comes with a lifetime guarantee through the manufacturer!
