comfortable but weak bass [Posted on 2008-05-19] These earphones are comfortable, but the bass is weak. Hardly any response below 64 Hertz. (Using the iTunes equalizer, changing the gain for 32 and 64 Hertz has very little noticeable effect.)
In contrast, my Sony MDR-EX51LP Fontopia earphones are also comfortable, but perhaps have too *much* bass.
Great, for price [Posted on 2008-06-12] Definitely pretty good headphones. I couldn't tell but I think the bass was a little off at first but quick trip to the settings on my mp3 changed that. The sound is pretty clear and if I could get them in they probably block out noise great. My ears are....not normal lol so they aren't going to fit me as well as the next person. But the sound is great and more than I could have asked for. And pretty comfy much better than those ipod ones.
Good for the price [Posted on 2008-06-27] The earphones are good for what you paid for. The wires feel rubbery, but the ear pieces deliver good sound.
JVC Marshmallow headphones [Posted on 2008-06-30] These headphones have great sound quality, for starters. I have found that they are excellent for exercise use also. The foamy ear pieces are like the foam hearing protection for loud noise, they form fit into your ear securely. I have run several miles and not needed to replace them or adjust them on the run. Also there's a slide on the wires so that after placement of the ear pieces you can snug the wires up under your chin or behind your neck and it keeps the wires from bouncing, tugging the ear pieces out. I would highly recommend these for someone who wanted good sound quality, especially if they were using these during workouts, running, etc.
The Amazon pricing was awesome also. These can be found at WalMart and elsewhere for $20, I think they were $7 on Amazon when I got them.
Great! [Posted on 2008-07-01] I like these because they don't hurt my ears and they stay in rather well. I got 2 sets of these with shipping for less than I paid for my first set at Best Buy. My only wish is that they would come up with a set that was resistant to a dog chewing them up, lol.
