After doing a bit of research, I decided to buy these because I needed a good set of in-ear monitors that weren't the standard that came with any MP3 player. Those hurt my ears after a while and never sound good.
The JVC Air Cushions (aka HA FX66) are awesome for the price. They are comfortable like nothing else - sometimes I fall asleep in them. I still use massive headphones for regular listening, but in bed or at work, these Air Cushions are the win. Can't beat the price, either.
Sound quality is decent. You get a nice seal so it's blocks outside noise. The bass is rich. The mids and highs are not as clear as I like them, but I never expected them to be...and it's not enough of a negative to keep me from using them. Overall, it's GOOD ENOUGH, and now I find myself using them more than my $200 headphones.
They also look really slick. The red version matches my Clix2 perfectly.
The carrying case is meh, I opted to use a circular Altoids tin instead.

I've had these JVC "Air Cushions" for about 7 months now, and they are just UNBELIEVABLE! I use them with my SanDisk Sansa Clip mp3 player, and they have spoiled me to the point where I no longer want to listen to my home stereo or car stereo (which are of good quality, but now sound bad by comparison).
I have very ecclectic musical tastes, which include everything from 70's rock, to Muzak to classical, and these phones handle all music exsquisitely.
They have a great bass response- allowing the deepest bass of any phones I have tried (better than the Koss "Plug"s) while producing rich and clear mids and treble- which is so essential for classical.
They are not at all tinny (anyone who says that they are, isn't inserting them properly- you must get a good fit to experience proper sound).
And to top it all off...these things are COMFORTABLE and they stay in your ears! (I was long hesitant to buy an mp3 player, because I never liked wearing headphones...but these JVCs have made a convert out of me!).
These phones are among the best on the market, for any price- and easily out-perform ones that cost many times their price. Do yourself a favor and try a pair- if you have a good quality mp3 player, they will truly allow you to experience the music in a new dimension and make you aware of what you've been missing.
They are a SCREAMING bargain for under $20. You literally can not get a better sounding pair of phones for 5 times the price. Get a pair...you will not be sorry.
Oh, and they also come with about 5 different sizes and types of earpieces, so that you can choose the ones that fit best and are most comfortable. After these, you will not want to use any other earphones!

I bought these ear buds to faind a pair that would stay in my ears wile working in the yard. The ones that came with my Sansa View were to large and hurt when you pushed them in.
To my surprise! These JVC Air cushion Ear Headphones work great for me with the medium tip. They don't fall out when riding the mower on my bumpy lawn. The price was right and they block out most of my mowers noise. All that and the sound is great to me.

No pun intended! These are the most awesome headphones that I've ever owned. I ordered one pair for my husband, and I will be ordering a second set for myself soon. They stay snugly in the ear canal, no slipping out. The sound quality (even base) is fantastic. It sounds like you have a tiny stereo (as opposed to a scratchy, tinny old phonograph) right in your ear. They totally block out background noise, which may be a bad thing depending on your point of view. If your hesitating about purchasing these, searching for something better, DON'T waste your time or money. Order these...DO IT NOW!

I read all the reviews and these are really wonderful earphones as stated by just about everyone. First, their sound is really excellent, with bass, mids and highs. The in ear buds come with multiple sized buds and they stay in--even while running or jogging, and they are not uncomfortable for sure. I used them while working, walking, sitting and...jogging. I had been so ecstatic about them. If you run or anything like that, there is alot of sound transferred from the point where the wire separates to each ear piece, all the way up each individual wire. I have never experienced this before, and it detracts from listening to the music, and points out each and every step you are taking. I tried cushioning the point where the wires separate, I tried putting it under my shirt, under my bra, so nothing ould move (I know, I REALLY want these earbuds). I gave it 4 stars because they will be perfect for anyone, except for those,like me, whose main usage will be athletic. But I will tell you, I DON"T want to take them back! I probably will buy something JUST for running and all that. THAT'S how much I like these!
