Inexpensive, easy to use and works great [Posted on 2008-03-28] My HDTV had only one component video input for high definition signals which was already used by my cable box. When I bought a Blu-Ray player, I did not want to have to unplug the cable box each time I watched Blu-Ray discs. This component video switcher has three component video inputs, each with their own audio inputs. Now I can easily switch from one component input to another with the push of a button. It is inexpensive, easy to use and works great.
does what it's supposed to do... though a cable would be nice [Posted on 2008-06-23] I got this product so I can connect a PS3 and an AppleTV to a single component input on my TV... works as it should. Though you will have to buy an extra component cable since it doesn't ship with on.
Component Switcher Box [Posted on 2008-08-02] I am very happy with this product. The price was better then anything that I could find around town.
very good component switcher 3 in 1 [Posted on 2008-08-30] At first i doubt it ,that will work; but after connecting all my components to a single plug , i was impressed video and audio quality excelent. I recommend this product to anyone looking for simple , fast component swither.
Simple Solution for Extra Inputs [Posted on 2008-10-10] I bought this switcher so I could connect both my DVD player and Wii to the one component video input on my standard-definition television. I just hooked it up, and everything works perfectly. I noticed a huge improvement in the video quality of the Wii (I had been using the composite video input, which was just terrible). Bottom line, this does exactly what I wanted it to, and at a fair price.
The unit itself is small and light, but feels solid and well-constructed. I looked at some powered component switchers on Amazon, like the highly rated Cables To Go - 40324 - 3-Play Component Video Digital Audio Selector, but thought it would be too much fuss and I don't need another remote control lying around. I also looked at the Philips 4 X 1 HD Component AV Selector, but there were some not-so-good reviews and the price seemed a little *too* good.
The only downside is that the switcher comes in one of those difficult-to-open hard plastic containers... so be careful with those scissors when opening yours!
