works great! [Posted on 2008-02-08] Works great finding the best station on FM. Minimal static. I bought this after exchanging the "Monster Carplay Wireless" which was not compatible with my brothers ipod mini. This one will work with ipod mini.
Not too good [Posted on 2008-02-22] Static too loud. Hard to get sync'd with a freq. At times it works but those times are few and far between. Way too much $$$$$ for the performance I have seen.
Too much work required [Posted on 2008-03-31] This device requires too much tweaking. All stations sound scratchy. At times the sound comes in clear, but the majority of the time it just has too much static. Not worth the money.
Very nice! [Posted on 2008-05-03] Working excellent for me. Used it with rental vehicles (2 different SUVs), using it on a 1996 Honda Accord, and a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. Even used it with a portable radio while camping out and with my living room radio (before I bought cables). I love the fact that you can remove the charger in order to use it. Most transmitters I found when searching either needed to be connected or ran on the iPod's batteries that got drained very quickly. Having a GPS in my car connected to the power plug, I needed something that wasn't fully dependent on being connected all the time, but I didn't want to have limited play time as the batteries were drained, so this fits both worlds nicely. The only drawback I see is that with the transmitter plugged in, I cant close the case I have my iPod on...but hey, its worth the hassle. Of course, sometimes you have to find the right station, but with a few tweaks here and there you can find a suitable one, you have to understand the limits of your technology, don't expect this to be more powerful than a full blown radio station, if there's interference, find another frequency. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this product.
Don't buy it [Posted on 2008-06-10] Bad product - doesn't function when slighly warm - kind of counter-intuitive to design a product for use in the car that doesn't react well to heat, a car being a hot environment. Over all, it was a waste of money. My wife has a casette adaptor that I have hijacked, really DON'T BUY THIS PRODUCT.
