This thing is horrible. [Posted on 2008-03-11] This thing does not work well at all. It has a ton of static, and you have to keep changing radio stations to get any kind of results. I bought a Maxell unit for half the prtice of this and it work fine.
Disapointing performance [Posted on 2008-04-12] I have the older model (Digital FM Transmitter) and was quite satisfied with it. I got this one for our other car (my wife now has an iPod which she listens to in her car). The difference in the performance between the two is huge! This newer model picks up RFI everywhere! If you go in or even near a city, forget it, it is simply unusable. And the automatic clear station seek doesn't work at all. At times it will even select a frequency that actually broadcasts in our area! Don't waste you money. I'm throwing mine away and installing an aux input cable in my car.
In Argentina didn't work [Posted on 2008-05-29] As the title see this product didn't work locally, I can't figure out the reason but I test in differents cars but nothing happen.
Form your own opinion!! [Posted on 2008-07-19] For a while, I was the proud owner of a Kensington 33199 Digital FM Transmitter and Auto Charger for iPod (Black), yet, after much wear & tear, the wires became loose and it was time to get a new one. During my search, I stumbled upon the "Kensington LiquidFM(tm) Deluxe for iPod FM Transmitter K33424US", noticing that it was the most recent version of the one I had owned for about a year. Since I was pleased with my previous purchase, the obvious choice was to invest in this one. The choice became not-so-obvious, however, when I read these terrible reviews. Now I don't mean to call the other reviewers liars, but mine recently came in the mail, and I have yet to experience any of the nightmares some of these other customers have claimed to have experienced. So what is my advice? Form your own opinion! But keep in mind that if you live in a large city where there are apt to be hundreds of pirate radio stations, maybe you should put your money towards a Monster Cable iCarPlay iPod Cassette Adapter (AI CAS-ADPT) instead.
Threw it out the window! [Posted on 2008-07-22] After less than 10 minutes of having this device that Kensington mailed me for free to replace an older worn down model, this thing found itself on the highway complete with the instructions so hopefully some highway worker has an iPod...but with how crappy this thing picks up signals he won't get much use out of it either!
