Works well with my slim power adapter - Kennsington web site and support leaves a lot to be desired however. There is no support for my Dell M1210 XPS notebook on the site, and messages to customer support recieved no answer - but I tried the product anyway and works great.
Dell E1505/6400 plug was faulty, so they sent me TWO free! [Posted on 2007-10-22]
Works with Inspiron E1505/6400, but only if you hold it the right way. The plug is too long.
Edit: After this review, I contacted Kensington and explained my situation. Without any hesitation whatsoever, the customer service agent offered to send me a replacement without hesitation. I wans't sure this would fix my problem, but I'd give them the benefit of the doubt due to their gracious and sincere "no hassle" way of dealing with customers.
The replacement tip arrived and they actually sent me TWO just to be on the safe side. Kudos to Kensington for their priorities in keeping the customer first.
The new plugs looked identical, but they both work flawlessly. My original must have just had a faulty contact on the barrel of the plug. Nobodys fault really; just a manufacturing flaw which happens to every product fro time to time.
I'd highly reccomend this product over the over-priced iGo products. Better quality, better customer service, better aesthetics.

The Pros
Wide compatibility of tips. Carrying one power supple is super.
will charge 2 items at once, with split cable. Charges one large item, ie laptop, and something smaller, such as a phone or ipod.
when it works i have no compaints

CONS
I have a dell D820, and it burns the tips out after a few months. Either will not charge or will not power laptop. Kennsignton will send replacements on demand, since i have 4 dell tips, i am ok for now. Never had any issue with the lower power tips.
12v supply sensitve to changes in voltage. The unit will go offline while flying, and have to unplug and plugged back in to get back online. Same when issue when car is restarted.

A necessary item for use with the Kensington Universal Notebook Power Adapter if you want to use it with a Dell Notebook. Very easy to use, although I have had to replace my tip twice in the last year and a half. The internal connection breaks over time with use.
