M16 Works With Motorola [Posted on 2007-08-16] The M16 tip works with both Motorola (I have used it with RAZRs and KRZRs) and my Blackberry (7130).
Picture deceiving, but the tip you need should be there [Posted on 2007-12-23] This package should come with the tip you need. Don't be fooled by the picture. My package came with the M1 (pictured), M3 (pictured), M16 (not M15 pictured) and the M9 (not pictured, but the wide connector used on older motorola flip phones). The newer, more popular motorola phones (RAZR, KRZR, my W385) charge through a USB mini-b connector, so most of you will probably use the M16.
My only complaint is having to buy 4 tips when I only need one, but I'm sure Kensington does this so that their retailers can stock a single product instead of 4. $10 isn't outrageous given the versatility of the Kensington system and the space and weight I save when I travel.
Do not buy this item for V3 Razr [Posted on 2007-12-28] I ordered this packet to get the M16 tip to charge the new model V3 Razr, which will not charge using the older M15 tip. The picture for the package shows the M15, but the description says it includes the current M16, which will also work with older Razrs. The first package that arrived had the M1 and M3 tips, but no M16. I returned it to Amazon with an e-mail explanation of the problem. The replacement set I received also contained only two tips and no M16. I e-mailed Amazon and they responded quickly, acknowledging that they are have a larger problem with this set than they realized. They refunded my purchase price. This is not Amazon's fault and they have responded quickly to the problem. I can't find out how to get an M16 tip on Kensington's web site, so I ordered the USB PowerTip to be able to charge my phone from my notebook.
Incomplete product [Posted on 2008-02-08] Don't buy this product if you need the M15/16 mini-USB smarttip. That part was missing from the package the first time, so I followed up with customer service, who promised to have them check at the factory before sending it the second time - and when the second package came, it also was missing the part. I ended up returning both and buying the product from the manufacturer.
