Great Product [Posted on 2008-07-22] I needed a serial adapter so I could console into routers and switches and this works perfectly, does exactly what I need it to.
Works Like A Charm [Posted on 2008-07-24] We use a Pactor Modem with our Single Sideband Radios both on our boat and in our truck to send and receive emails when we are in remote locations. Our new Laptop doesn't have a serial port and the Modem doesn't have a USB connector so this adapter provides the proper interface and works flawlessly and the performance is what is required for this type of setup. It was recommended by the people who support using SSB radios for email. Essentially, it saved us from having to buy a newer version of the Pactor Modem with the USB interface built in, a savings of about $1000.
Excellent product, but a little bulky [Posted on 2008-07-26] This adapter installed easily and worked perfectly with no hicups. I'm using it between a Compaq notebook and a DBX professional sound processor. I searched high and low to find a USB - serial adapter that would work with the DBX. This is the only one I have found that works. It's a great product, other than being a bit bulky compared to other USB-serial. My only other gripe is that the detachable cord always seems to be missing when I need it. These are very minor negatives for such a fine product. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a high quality adapter, especially those in the sound industry who need to connect to their DBX processors.
Does the job exactly like advertised [Posted on 2008-08-14] I bought this product to use with my Garmin GPS which comes with a serial connector. I might have spent a little over five minutes making the connection between the GPS and my computers USB port and it was up and running right away. No problems at all .... Does it's job !
no problem [Posted on 2008-08-27] This was the recommendation from WACOM tablet. I connected an older serial WACOM via the Keyspan HS USB Adapter. This was the better solution over installing a serial card in the PC.
