so so bass...cheap construction... [Posted on 2008-05-28] I bought this, thinking that Klipsch would certainly issue a quality system, given their strong reputation AND to take advantage of their wireless setup to stream music across different rooms...As I purchased it for my bedroom (ie. with the intention of listening to music generally on low volume), I was sorely disappointed...as the music sounded quite flat/hollow (even when most of my mp3's were recorded at minimum 192kbps)...in addition, the construction of this system is made of cheap dull plastic, and the retractable tray that holds the iPod is a flimsy piece of plastic that (on appearance) can be easily broken off if you had pressed your iPod a little harder down into the docking grid. Needless to say, I didn't even bother with the wireless setup as I'm returning it for a JBL OnStage 200ID...which has better bass but less clarity than the Klipsch...but at least I can hear a fuller sound at low volume.
Sharp looking and Sharp Sound [Posted on 2008-06-03] I do not like alot of equipment but I do like good quality sound and this item fit the bill. It is not only very good looking, the sound is fantastic. It fills the room with very high quality music and I can hear pitches and underlying sounds within songs that I've never heard before and in music I've listend to over and over. I've not bought another one yet to try the wireless features but I definitely will. I took a chance on this item and I am not disappointed.
Consider this product when looking at the Bose IPod Speaker [Posted on 2008-06-04] I am a pretty tough grader. Rarely do I give something five stars out of five. To this end the Klipsch RoomGrove is pretty good. Small, easy to set up, pretty good sound and manageable power cord makes this product worthy of anyone's consideration when looking for a "high end" dedicated ipod amp/speaker. If you are looking at the Bose, you should look at this product too. I am little disappointed of the high end response (tweeter), but bass and mid range is very good. It fills our kitchen with good music. I will be purchasing another RoomGrove to try out the wireless speaker feature.
great product but not a bose [Posted on 2008-06-13] here is the lowdown on this product I wanted to buy a ipod speaker for my wife's birthday. So I researched for about a week and found that bose and klipsch roomgrove was the way to go.The problem was I couldn't find enough information to tell me which one to buy so I bought both of them and compared them side by side.both were very nice looked great and sounded great but bose won the klipsch roomgrove looked a little better to me but the sound of the bose would be louder and clearer making my decsion realativley easy. go with the bose
Best Wireless Speaker [Posted on 2008-06-23] I originally bought 2 of these, they worked flawlessly. I since bought two more, all continue to work flawlessly. They are easy to setup and use. I have a lot of complex high-end gear, it is refreshing to see that someone like Klipsch can make a device that is so simple to use. The one thing I wish they could do is accept HDMI input.
