Good fit, decent sound, thin wire will break near plug over time [Posted on 2008-05-06] I've owned 4-5 pair of these and love them when they're working. They fit my ears well and stay where they're supposed to. I use them when cycling to/from work (volume is kept low so I can still hear ambient sounds around me for all you cycling purists out there). Moisture does sometimes find its way into the rubber-covered ear clips and causes the wire to rust/discolor a bit. The biggest aggravation I have with these is the wire tends to weaken over time near the 'L'-shaped plug and eventually breaks inside the housing. When this happens, I only get sound in one ear and have to throw that pair away and buy another. I haven't found anything else on the market that fits as well and is as comfortable as these so I keep padding the Koss bottom line.
You can do better for the price with the Sony MdRs [Posted on 2008-06-03] These things are completely terrible for me. They don't stay in the ear,and actualy fall off when I'm lying on the bench, and the sounds is bad. Stay away
not bad for the money [Posted on 2008-06-09] you cant expect big sound or any measure of bass in a set such as these. They are ok for what I need them for in the gym. If you work at it a little, you can get them to fit decently, and I have very small ears.
A great simple pair of headphones for running. [Posted on 2008-06-25] I was having trouble finding a pair of headphones that stayed in/on my ears when I ran. The Ipod headphones were definitely a no go and I invested in a pair of Sony that fell right off despite their sporty claim. My Mother had these and I sat down and ordered my own pair that same night after running with them once. The sound quality is decent for the price and they stay put. I usually run 3 miles 3 times a week and I have had them for about a year now. I haven't had a single problem. If you are a stickler for sound quality, these might not be the best bet, but if you're using them for running/an on the fly pair, it's not a bad investment.
My ONLY workout headphones! [Posted on 2008-06-30] I run a lot and am a small person so have small ears and head and have a hard time finding headphones that don't fall off or fall out of my ears when I'm sweaty and bouncing down the road. These headphones have great sound (I like my music loud and I also like to listen to talk radio, both are clear) and they are very easy to adjust to hold tight to my ear without hurting and without sliding around and loosening up. I have tried headphones in the $40 range when I couldn't find these in the store and have returned them. I found them again online and now buy them 4 at a time! That's 4 pairs I like for the price of 1 that I don't! (I go through the fairly fast from running in the rain and sweating so much, then eventually short out)
