It's good so far but is missing one thing [Posted on 2005-11-25] It seems pretty short considering how much is on this DVD. Would've been nice if they recorded a show but we got some music videos and some live stuff but they did forget one thing oddly enough.
Hanging by a Moment: This is NOT the version MTV went nuts on when the song was first released. It's compiled from live footage. It's kinda disappointing since the original's not on here.
Sick Cycle Carousel: A more ambitious video with the band performing and some kid climbing stairs and encountering a maze and I don't know it's pretty odd. Song's good though.
Breathing: It's one of those bit players sing the song videos where Jason's in a taxi passing by people who keep singing the song. It's a nice song but it's not a particularly inventive video.
Spin: If you get motion sickness easily, don't watch this. They took the concept of spinning literally as the camera is constantly turning clockwise except for one section. I like the song, so-so on the video.
You and Me: The band performs in a subway station with a guy and girl trying to meet each other only they keep missing. It's a nice video, well shot so the video is good for the song.
Blind: I don't remember much about this video except one thing: his eyeliner. Ugh, it's like he's trying to be Brandon Flowers from the Killers or Billy Corgan Machina-era.
We got 4 live performances: a little underwhelming performance for Everything(the vocals are off I find) and Come Back Down, Days Go By and You and Me. They're not bad but a full set would've worked better.
It's a good set for what it is but you get the feeling they could've added more to it.
ofcourse great cause it is Lifehouse but too short.. [Posted on 2006-01-07] Firstly I am not dissapointed about this dvd, to watch and listen lifehouse is always a great feeling. But I would prefer a Lifehouse dvd with some acoustic performences ( cause their live and acoustic performances are great ) the rest of the dvd would be great with a full live concert. Anyway it is also great to have the Lifehouse video clips and some live performances.
The songs i would like to see at the dvd : Take me Away ( Live ) ,Especially Lifehouse - BLIND (LIVE), Somewhere in Between (live),Unknown (unplugged)
Pretty Good [Posted on 2006-02-11] Of course, since the band is Lifehouse, there is no way this DVD cannot be great. However, it is a little disappointing that there was not a whole concert, no "Take Me Away" video, and no extra interviews or anything. Still, Lifehouse is great, and I have watched this DVD many times.
I would definitely recommend this DVD. It is a must-have for any LIFEHOUSE fan! Also, there were a few funny mistakes made in making this DVD.
Short but oh so sweet! [Posted on 2006-10-07] Actually this DVD is 10/10. Yes the common complaint is it is a short DVD of only 10 songs. Yes, the Lifehouse producers could have added On The Road Footage or Jason Wade/Band interviews. But the DVD is what it is. For the background information on this DVD or/and the band, check out the Lifehouse website on the web. Now onto this superb DVD.
The 10 songs included covers the the period from the release of 'No Name Face' which includes 'Hanging By A Moment', 'Sick Cycle Carousel' and 'Breathing'. All great songs with Sick Cycle Carousel and Hanging By A Moment still favourites with many people and played on radio states. The next album release was 'Stanley Climbfall' which included the song 'Spin'. I was hoping they would include the song Simon, would have been a great touch to this excellent album nonetheless.
The first six songs are music video releases. The last four songs are all Live in Concert which includes 'You And Me' and 'Everything' my favourite songs from this great band and very romantic to boot. The latest album release 'Lifehouse' has the songs 'Blind', 'Days Go By' and 'Come Back Down' which are good songs as well.
Overall the DVD is clear and easy to operate with a great title/content page. The sound and audio is exceptionally clear. This is a must add for Lifehouse fans. I regularly listen to this enjoyable album and it rarely leaves my must listen to collection of CD's and DVD's.
Los Angeles Union Station [Posted on 2007-07-29] I bought this video because it has a song done "live" in Los Angeles Union Station. It grabbed my interest since I am interested in trains, but after receiving it I find it's a good DVD also because of the music. I'd buy it again, and I'm older than the age range it's geared to.
