BEST PRICE, Perfect Condition [Posted on 2008-11-11] I don't think anyone has used this keyboard and mouse set before I did because it was listed as used but I swear it was in best condition. Props to Reforger. This keyboard has a pretty nice feel to it. Not too different from a standard keyboard. Although, the wrist thingy is really convenient. The mouse has the best. I have back and forward in web pages and volume up and down, and new tab. Although the new tab button for me is a little too close to the volume up and down. The software is pretty good and straightforward. Definitely recommended.
Good Signal, Average Software [Posted on 2008-11-14] This set has a good signal. I set a few of these up in our offices, where the keyboard sat below the desk on a keyboard extension tray and the signal was still good. I set some receivers hidden behind the monitors and the mouse and keyboard still operated well. The only drawback is that there are not illuminated Nums, Caps, Scroll lock buttons on the keyboard itself. It is actually built into the included software. However, the mouse and keyboard will operate without the software. So unless, you need the locks alerts and some button programming features, I wouldn't recommend installing the software. It's just another thing that you'll have to wait to load while starting up Windows. It takes about 15 seconds extra to load on a 2GHz Duo Core with 2GB RAM.
Great Wireless Keyboard and Mouse with few quirks [Posted on 2008-11-24] I really like this wireless keyboard and mouse. The keys on the keyboard are quiet and allow for smooth typing. I like the multimedia controls on the keyboard. Battery life on keyboard and mouse is excellent. I also like the addition of the calculator button on the keyboard. The mouse is a nice fit in the hand and has very responsive movement no wireless glitches. The only things I don't like are on the keyboard. The clock/date screen is almost useless not illuminated enough to see unless in bright light. The letters on the keys could be bolder to be easily read. Finally the zoom on the side could be accidentally moved if not careful especially for people with big fingers. Otherwise a great purchase and I would purchase again.
F keys are too small and mouse scroll button is clunky [Posted on 2008-11-27] The setup was easy. The kayboard layout is fine. I would have liked it if the home/end buttons were in the normal 3x2 layout and not the new fancy vertical layout keyboards are doing nowadays. The keys are very easy to press down on. It looks a little futuristic which is a nice style. There's a fancy dynamic search and zoom touch bar on the left so it's even more futuristic. The clock on the keyboard is a nice feature. The telephone keys (call, voIP, and end call) are neat too but I don't think I'll ever use them. Great for people using headsets, skype, etc. though. The mouse is huge so it's not a very good fit for me or people which small hands. The only two complaints I have are that the F keys, insert, print screen, pause/break keys at the top are not the normal size found on most keyboards and the mouse scroll wheel button is clunky. That makes opening up new windows when I'm web browsing hard because it sometimes scrolls when I don't want it to, missing the hyperlink entirely or clicking on a hyperlink I didn't want to. I'll have to use the "cltr+left click" method. I think I'll survive.
Better than my Old Microsoft Wireless Setup! [Posted on 2008-11-29] If you're a Mac user, make sure you understand this doesn't include Mac support for the extra buttons and keyboard features - included drivers are for Windows only! While it will work in basic mode with a Mac, you won't be able to program any of the special keys.
The mouse is really good, better than many other mice I've seen in the Logitech wireless bundles, when it comes to comfort in hands - it's not tiny and uncomfortable. The keyboard, while non ergonomic feels solid and is good to type on. Signals aren't dropped like on my old Microsoft 6000 setup. If you need a reliable wireless setup and a comfortable mouse is important to you, I'd recommend this package from Logitech.
