plug 'n play [Posted on 2008-11-09] plug them in and blast the volume - a great fix for all those quiet laptops.
also easy to carry around and doesn't need external power.
the audio is not for audiophiles, but for all of us movie-watchers/gamers/and other mortals - this is a good investment
Great sound, moves around desk [Posted on 2008-11-13] These USB-powered speakers showed up right away on my MacBook. They sound great, but the stand design makes them move around the desk when played loud. I compared these with the V10 notebook speakers, and decided that to keep the V10 speakers, because they are easier to travel with. If you plan to stay in one place, and don't mind moving these back or taping them down, these are nice speakers.
Good Speakers [Posted on 2008-11-25] For the money, these are very good speakers. The sound is,in my opinion, is quite natural sounding. You'll get a little distortion If volume is turned up too high. If your not gaming these'll work find. Neat carrying case too.
Decent sound, serves a purpose, no aux in [Posted on 2008-11-26] Just to be clear, this is for USB only, not for an analog 1/8" plug. So you won't be able to use this with an MP3 player since this the sound source and power comes from USB.
I'm actually using it with a desktop since it has a small footprint and it's great for a powered setup with decent sound that doesn't require additional power cables.
Good when they worked. [Posted on 2008-11-28] Decent sound from small speakers. Base is just OK but for $50 the sound was good. Unfortunately, one of the speakers broke after a week of use.
Trying to send back for replacement.
I'd recommend these for travel only. For $100-$150 more get either Klipsh or Polk Audio speakers.
