Nice mouse but disappointing range [Posted on 2008-10-02] I have bought this mouse both for my laptop and desktop. I like the mouse but have trouble using it with my desktop. Basically it is very hard too use at about 6 feet range (clear from any obstacles and not too close to any other device that might cause interference). The movement is not smooth and clicks are often dropped. I really expected more from this higher end mouse.
I'm now using Comfort Duo which works fine in the same set-up.
logitech vx revolution [Posted on 2008-10-03] pros:
i like the scroll wheel design
use it everytime for web browsing
cons:
middle click is difficult to use due to the design
sensitivity(dpi) is too low only 800dpi
lagging if i use on a high resolution monitor
not ideal to use for gaming
battery consumption is much lower than it advertised
conclusion:
personally dont like this mouse
but the wheel and ergnomic design is very usefull
planing to buy a new one
maybe logitech mx1100
Great Product and Great Service [Posted on 2008-10-21] I bought this mouse just about a year ago after falling in love with the desktop version (MX Revolution). The scroll wheels on these mice are great but after a few months of use the rubber grip on the scroll wheel stretched out which made scrolling difficult. I called Logitech warranty service and was pleasantly surprised that the phone was answered by someone who spoke perfect English. Additionally, the exchange was arranged quickly and with professionalism. Judging by this transaction, the ease and speed of the replacement process at Logitech is in contrast to what is typically experienced with other electronics vendors.
the best mouse ever [Posted on 2008-11-09] This was my best tech investment ever!
this mouse has traveled the world and is going on a second tour too. very easy to hold, has extremely useful forward/back buttons. shows battery charge.
gear-wheel is an extra plus! very nice to use with some humongous documents or if you are an avid rss reader :)
Nice mouse - if it would work properly [Posted on 2008-11-20] I certainly expected higher quality for a product with such a comparably high price tag:
Spin wheel got stuck within the first week of use. Logitech replaced the mouse.
Second mouse now has the same problem that other users experienced: Sometimes it doesn't register clicks or doesn't move smoothly even though the batteries are fresh and the receiver is just about 3 feet away from mouse.
I needed a precise mouse to work with. Very disappointed.
