Worked only for 3 days total [Posted on 2008-05-24]
The thing worked only for 3 days and after that that it just stopped working. The two pieces stopped recognizing each other. Got it replaced. And lo and behold same problem. In a couple of days they again stopped recognizing each other. They stopped getting in sync. So just think of at as a use it for 2 days and throw it away.
Same problem with similar product from Logitech (Wireless music system).

This needs an upgrade...... [Posted on 2008-05-27]
First of all, I purchased this produce from Best Buy for $49.99. Exact same product so I don't know why the price is quadruple that here but save your money. I had to return this product three times and spent a good amount of time on the phone with Logitech's tech support to get it to work (which it never really did). That could be in part because I have a two story house and my sound system was located downstairs and the computer upstairs but even still. The product was just not up to par. I experienced lond delays in song playback and unreadable songs and the system not working at all, all after following the advice of their tech support. Finally I gave up and started searching for something else.

Logitech also has a new device, I think it's called the Squeeze Box that I'm looking into. It's about $300 but if it works as designed, I feel it's worth it. I ordered it and it should be here in a few days. I'll post a review once I set it up.

Don't waste your money on this product, especially not at $200.

best way to play your music from your pc [Posted on 2008-05-30]
Logitech wireless DJ music system makes playing your music collection stored on your pc a breeze. You can search by artist name, album, genre, all by turning the wheel on the center of the remote. The screen is easy to read and makes creating a playlist very easy. The songs boot up very quickly and the sound quality is great.

Makes parties fun because guests can look through your library and add to your song list. A definite must for those with a large music collection.

Not Elegant, but Inexpensive & Easy PC to Stereo Solution [Posted on 2008-08-08]
It doesn't get much easier than this. My real rating is a 3.75. I was looking for a simple (wireless) connection from my PC to my stereo for playing music/playlists. I had tried Apple's AirExpress and others with little/no luck.

Pros: Easy set-up. VERY nice, comprehensive control of the iPod functions from the remote (including ability to see the song names in the playlists). Audio quality is pretty darn good. I realize most manufacturers (including Logitech) have migrated away from Bluetooth and toward WiFi for this application, but their abandoning this technology made this product just too inexpensive to resist (I paid $95 in Jan. '08)

Cons: When I want to use the system, I usually have to "reset" it by turning the remote (stereo end) base unit off, then on again. The VERY occasional "skip" of connection - usually only happens when music has streamed for hours at a time - might even be a PC issue.

Two other quick notes- On the plus side, I've had no range or line of sight connection issues, and my PC is approx. 60', 3 walls and a closed cabinet away from my home audio receiver. On the down side, I've had challenges getting the "broadcast any PC sound" feature to work consistently - not a big deal for me, but would come in handy for some applications.

I think this unit is getting tougher and tougher to find, but if you have the need and can pick one up before they're extinct, it's a good value.

Keeping this thing working is a full time job. [Posted on 2008-09-03]
I REALLY wanted to like this thing, but it just doesn't work. It's frequency doesn't transmit through people, so when you throw a party, it just stops working. I wish I got the squeezebox because that thing will at least work over 802.11, but at four times the price, you really have to ask yourself if it's worth it.
